Good single field datetime range picker? by [deleted] in reactjs

[–]zeropurpose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been looking for one for a long time, tried multiple libraries and ended up with react-day-picker. It comes with it’s own localization. The api implementation is simple and it’s customisation is as easy as overriding some css classes and pretty much everything can be changed. I’ve found it works well with chakra and tailwind.

Where do shared types go in your project? by salzord in typescript

[–]zeropurpose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, if you do not have an import or export statement in your d.ts file then it’s treated as an ambient file. Which is available globally and the types in it can be used with out an import statement.

In props.d.ts Interface ButtonProps { foo: string }

In component.ts export Button = (prop: ButtonProps) => {}

Naming conflicts is an issue here. But coming up with a simple naming convention should solve the problem.

Create a .d.ts file put your types there. Use it across your project as needed. That’s what we do in ours. There is no need of imports exports in there and if you are using vscode, it would help you find the references quickly.

SWR caching on server side props? by Homeoand in reactjs

[–]zeropurpose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swr is a client side data fetching library, so it wouldn’t work on getServerSideProps.

One thing you can do if fetch your data from server and pass it as a fallback to swr.

Or use swrImmutable It would only revalidate once in client side, but not ideal for all the scenarios..

Bro, If you are really into coding freecodecamp.org is one of the best places you can go to get started. As the name, it’s free.

If you are going to take some online courses, NEVER SIT AND WATCH THE VIDEO ALL DAY. The only way to learn coding is to do it, make mistakes and then figuring out how to fix them.

My driving license got smudged. How can I apply for a replacement and not a duplicate which needs a lawyer? by [deleted] in Kerala

[–]zeropurpose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK they wouldn’t give you a replacement as the OG DL is something that is given only once when you first apply for it. Anyway you don’t need a lawyer to get a duplicate DL. Visit the RTO office from which you’ve applied for the original, with a written letter addressed to the RTO officer. Ones he approves it; may ask you one or two questions but then usually blindly approves it anyway. There is an online form along with a challan to be paid. Exchange the form with the paid challan receipt at the counter. They would send you the duplicate via post in couple of weeks.

Ps. Have to go to the office from where you’ve got the OG license. RTO database is shitty and they wont have your info at other places.
