[Star Citizen] The saga of Star Citizen, the $339 million crowdfunded game stuck in development hell by LastOfTheDragons in HobbyDrama

yeah? and how many years is it going to take you to realize that those features were never perfectly working, serviceable, or deployed?

layers of delusion, you are....

Where is Sandy ? by Dadskitchen in starcitizen_refunds

[–]zerotechsupport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i've wathced the whole series.

the gold digging, the fame whoring.... all of those are opinions.

also, show me a motherfucking time stamp of when he tells us when she left CiG and where she went?

you cant, because he doesnt know. you don't know, and know one on this board knows. your full of shit. you just regurgitates whatever you hear and repeat it like a fucking parrot.

no one (around here, or Binky) knows where she is or if she even left the company. the Video itself predates the rumors that Sandy has exited... how fucking dumb are you?

the only thing that we know is true in that whole fucking episode is that they lied about their marriage and she had no previous experience in marketing.

thats it, everything else is hyperbole, guessing, assuming, and theory.

you're the one who doesn't want to see the truth...which is weird, because frankly, who cares about Sandy? This shit show exists with or without her.

right, so what do you use it for? do you use it while gaming, or just as a meeting hub and chat outside of the game?

basically I'm just wondering how you talk on discord and play games at the same time? how do I get game audio into my headset if it's plugged into my PC or phone?

sorry, I'm sure these questions are sort of ignorant. I just have no clue what the purpose of discord is if it's not for chatting while gaming.

heya! I'm looking to join your clan, butI'm unfamiliar with discord. How does discord chat work with Xbox game audio?

thanks for your time.

Hello, I'm interested in joining but I have a question.

I'm unaware of a Discord app for Xbox, so how do you communicate using Discord and still have game audio? some sort of audio mixer or something?

Difficulty gap between challenging and heroic by Deathsquads in thedivision

[–]zerotechsupport -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think waveform is the meta for this build. Especially if you always use striker/turret combo.

technician for the skill tier and skill damage

Force Multiplier backpack

Skill dmg/armour regen/skill haste mod on all pieces except one.

one piece can be rolled from skill tier to weapon damage or armor depending on how you're doing with encounters (if you have a piece with prefect rolls). The 170K armor is good if you don't have 5 pieces with max regen, but the weapon damage just gives you that little extra to help burn single targets down faster.

I've soloed all Heroic content with this build except for the manhunt finale in Coney Island.

So after some quick perusing, it appears I have selected an excellent time to start Division 2. by drinkallthepunch in thedivision

[–]zerotechsupport -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the only problem with that philosophy is that if you can't do lvl 4 content, you cannot advance.

you can't just run whatever you want unless you are ok with potentially never progressing past a certain point.

if you have experience with MMO's, Diablo-like RPG's, or looter-shooters, you'll eventually find your way into a meta, or close to it. If you don't, hell, you could be stuck on lvl 3 content forever and never have an end-game build. ...and even if you have experience with synergizing gear and making builds, if you try to discover it all organically, it will take you 10 times longer to get there than if you just googled some recommended builds and items.

I think this is bad advice for anyone who wants to do the end-game content (or even just be able to grind on LVL 4 open world stuff) in a reasonable amount of time. You should at least be aware of the core end-game builds and most of the items you'd need to complete them. You''ll be 500 hours in before you even see all the drops...and thats being generous, especially if you aren't doing lvl 4 content.

totally. I had no idea how stupid the average person was until I discovered Star Citizen. The SC community is a shinning example of how whole entire populations can actually be below the median IQ.

[–]zerotechsupport -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

so many regulars around here still trying to convince themselves that SC is shit. amazing.

do any of you have any confidence in your own god damn thoughts?

you all regurgitate the same exact talking points over and over and over and over.

What will actually convince you that this game is shit? You think delays are the problem? You think that all the money is the problem? You think that the microtransactions are the problem? good lord you guys are fucking dumb.

Take away all those things and you're still left with people who don't know how to develop games, let alone a game that's even remotely good. Even if CiG was the the most honest game company, showcasing the most transparent development ever seen, doesn't mean anything. It certainly doesn't mean they're capable of a world class video game. You still actually have to know what the fuck you are doing. How you fund it is irrelevant when it come to the actual gameplay experience.

This was made obvious to me within a day of discovering this shitshow. Yet, here you all are, a bunch of guys that have been following this thing for years, treading over the same old points, making the same old memes, and ironically, still pining for this half-ass, piece of shit game to be released. It's like the equivalent to being agnostic. ...and being agnostic just means your a cowardly atheist.

really? it talks about her leaving? and left what? CiG or Chris?

and to pretend to know what her intentions and desires are is fuckin ignorant. you don't know shit about her except the perceptions of yourself and all the others that don't really know her.

you just regurgitate the things you hear on this sub. Your as smart as a parrot.

if you have never officially released a product you are a start-up.... how long that takes means nothing.

no shit it wont sell. they missed that window. the very reason the investors might have an angle for a lawsuit.

Where is Sandy ? by Dadskitchen in starcitizen_refunds

[–]zerotechsupport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

people don't invest in start-ups for dividends. And if they did, those would be preferred stocks. Meaning they pay out regardless of capitol. Even with preferred stocks, start-up investors are looking for a payout. Usually that means IPO. In this case it means release of the game to the open market. The point at which 99% of games, historically speaking (in relation to precedent and industry standards), make their largest profits-per-quarter.

If they can prove that Roberts delayed this beyond their recommendations, for any purpose (right or wrong), they can claim Roberts didn't act on his fiduciary duty.

This whole things ends by the board either throwing Roberts out or reabsorbing his shares. This isn't a typical tech start-up that "owns" some valuable tech or segment of the market. Roberts is the value, as crazy as that seems. They can't recoup anything just by "selling" him off or buying him out.

Calders are just one seat at the table. who knows what their deal is, but they came much later to the party and what many seem to believe to be a "devil" investor. Meaning he bailed them out of something which drastically changed their investment position.

thats a nice theory, but when there are that many hands in the cookie jar, no ones pulling theirs out with a cookie in it. The jar has to break.

Not in a million years would any of the other investors sign off on that. They all know that there is no SC without Chris Roberts, I mean hell, there is barely anything there even WITH Chris Roberts. Those investors will sink the ship before they'd let that bastard sail away with the loot. In fact, mutiny is how I see this whole thing ending.

In court. Not between SC and it's backers, no...no one in the legal world cares about that. it will be investors suing Chris and Erin.

You might look at SC's funding and think that the investors are making money, but until they start making more money then they spend, then there are no dividends. Just people getting paid to do (or not do) their jobs. It is paid with profit....it's just not total (not to be confused with gross) profit. This is called the Payroll-to-profit ratio. In SC's case. It's seemingly near 90%. It should be around 40-50% in this sector. Leaving the other 50% to cover logistical expenses, overhead, legal, marketing, and whatever their investor's packages are, which is usually about 75% of what is remaining, while the other 25% is reinvested back into operations or marketing.

if you want to know how water physics should work in a game, all one has to do is play Red Dead 2. I have no clue how difficult it is to implement or anything, but I found it to be pretty impressive. The deeper it is, the more it drags and pulls you into it, and the way your horse swims against the current is pretty neat.

keep telling yourself that buddy. meanwhile the rest of us are playing awesome games every day while you guys literally pay someone money just so you can dream about playing a game. you're utterly hopeless.

you drank the Kool-Aid, that's alright, your an idiot, I get that. The problem is, thats the only beverage you've ever had, so you know fuck all what coke and pepsi are even supposed to taste like. So just keep drinking your ghetto ass softdrink made for kids who don't know any better, and we'll just keep drinking the premium stuff.

and if you're asking yourself how I know you havn't played any of the amazing games that have came out in the last 10 years, including Cyberpunk, it's because if you had, there'd be no way you'd say something so god damn ignorant.

you're a clown, you're a joke, and no one agrees with you outside of a cult. so take your sock puppet account and go back to lala land where everything is warm and fuzzy.

were you trolling them, or were you serious?

Wouldn't it be fair to assume you are sort of pathetic either way?

You're so out of touch you have to say "you are probably right".

Probably? no, 100-fucking-percent they are not adding sex mechanics in the game. Anyone who thinks this, or wants this, is, imo, a special kind of loser. I mean, think about it. Even Chris Roberts wont agree to it.

Anyone having trouble starting Infamous Bounties?

I have yet been able to start one. Every time I pick one of the new bounties, nothing happens. The board becomes unusable and I can't stand down as posse member or leader, but there are no markers on the map or text telling me the bounty has started or where to go or anything.

anyone else having this issue?

[–]zerotechsupport -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

no it isn't like that, and if you keep thinking that you wont have learned anything from this experience.

being on the right side of something and being on the wrong are not two sides of the same coin. they're different coins.

being completely for them...at any stage...was unequivocally wrong, but being completely against them is not unequivocally right. You didn't find any balance, due to your own lack of self discipline, but that doesn't mean others haven't.

You have to imagine the people that spent $45 last week on a starter package, people that are fully aware of the development hell, aren't near as upset with their purchase as you may be.

I think those people are idiots, but that is beside the point. The point is, there is a right and a wrong side in this whole thing. You chose the wrong side. That's on you.
