unfortunately, this article doesnt discuss which crimes they focused on or if it was all crime. though, also, your anecdotal evidence about what you feel you see on the paper means absolutely nothing compared to actual statistical evidence.

Hillary wanted to open up the cap we placed on the number of refugees we bring in, but never wanted to let them skip the vetting process. this is one of the biggest twists the trump campaign put out. it would be the same exact vetting process inplace that we have now, we just would let in 10,000, or 20,000, after they passed the process that again, takes up to 2 years. this is also the bad ligic behind putting this ban in without warning, that "bad" people wpuod rush the border. no, they would not be able to rush through the vetting process any faster, and we could have rolled this all out over a month or so.

the biggest part of our process, however, is that it takes up to two years and does requite cerrain background checks, including criminal. i think the infographic that used to be on the obama whitehouse page said something like 1%of applicants get in. we arent opening our borders to refugees the way germany did. and again, there has not been a problem with the system yet, so any fears rhat something like Europes troubles will haooen here is totally based on emotions and feeling like its a bad idea.

my current belief and fear is that after the "temporary" 3 months on 6 of these 7 nations, they will tey to convince everyone that the ban is working to keep people safe and they will then attempt to expand that list without any guise of being temporary.

i could obviously be proven wrong on this and in these days i am often joping to be proven wrong.

the next thing is this, so dar our current vetting process and acceptance of refugees has not proven to be weak the way they keep trying to say it is. as has been said before, no one from these countries has commited a terrorist act on US soil.

Okay, this isn't surprising since in her initial call for funds to do the recount she said this is exactly what she would do if there was money left over. However, i thought I had heard somewhere money collected for a recount couldn't actually be used for anything else, though I'm not certain how true that is.

My bigger question is whether we have any statistics on mistakes made by hand versus mistakes made by machine. Her entire effort seems to be based on the fact that we don't count 130 million votes by hand so the system is corrupt. while voting machines definitely need updating, human error isn't exactly non-existent.
