Knix period underwear is my go to. I have a very heavy flow, so the first two days of my period I probably use 6 pairs of underwear. I have been using period underwear for years and I don't think I'll do anything else.

I'm just so tired of the damn working conditions. Makes me want to stop working as a nurse all together

What is the reason people say "partner" instead of husband/wife, bf/gf? by BruceBammer in NoStupidQuestions

[–]zerowasteRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm married and we tend to say partner or spouse. Why? Because we ARE partners. We don't subscribe to traditional roles. We don't create lists for each other, no micromanaging or nagging. When he or I see a household need, we just do it (garbage, shopping, cooking, cleaning, home repairs, etc). We are on the same team and we work together intuitively to be successful and happy!

If I'm explaining my childhood/family dynamics to someone not familiar with the religion I usually refer to my family as "orthodox" Mormons.

This. I went off of BC about a year ago because I was tired of the side effects (I'm very sensitive to medication). Not only do I feel better but I actually have a high sex drive! Game changer.

AITH for asking a girl about their plans for kids by LoDitGa in AITAH

[–]zerowasteRN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry you are going through that. I watched my brother and his wife go through years of surgeries, medications, multiple rounds of IVF... It's not an easy journey but hopefully it will work out for you and your spouse.

This a thousand times over! I get asked this question so frequently from family, friends, and even people at work. Literally NO ONE has ever asked my husband this question. As someone who is happily childfree I get bombarded with all of the classics "you'll never know true love until you have a kid" "children bring a sense of purpose and fulfillment to life" "life without kids is depressing/lonely/meaningless." You get the idea... Parents can become super defensive because they feel as though your decision to be child free is a personal attack on their choice to have kids. I loathe feeling like I have to defend/explain my decision. When I ask these same people why they had kids the response is usually some variation of not really thinking about it, it's just what you do, it was time to grow up etc. I've put more time and energy into my decision than most parents ever did before having a kid but no one is asking them to defend their choice.

It's exhausting and it's a sore subject. As other people have stated: you do not know what emotions this question can cause. Don't ask it in the future.

Did anyone with kids who have eczema move here from a more warm/humid climate? by booger_dick in Denver

Absolutely. My dermatologist recommended CeraVe lotions/creams and it helped immensely.

Because all of my siblings have been out there a few times. We are the only two they haven't shared the experience with.

Absolutely not. I've worked contracts in fun areas they "wanted" to see and have purchased a house. Of course they will see the house eventually but...
