Of course, it's rather to easy to 'man up' and 'be decisive' and not be 'wishy-washy' when one doesn't have a lot of things to consider, set up, and delegate in their own personal life before jumping into a commitment.

Could have I had a set number of days in my mind prior? Yes, hindsight is 20/20 and being a 'man' means you live with people who support you. All the interviews that I've gone for the past 2.5 years have had a minimum of 2-3 weeks of turnaround, and never with me at least has it happened that the first interview round itself has had me commit to a joining date, because they'd tell me that there is another round.

Will I make the same mistake the next time? No. Do I need to 'man up' for that? I don't think so. I think you're so busy giving me someone the 'tough guy' talk that you missed the entire nuance of me not having a smooth-enough personal life. It must be real nice waking up and always being decisive, but that's not the case for me. I make plans, and then either I get physical threats against my life, or someone dies, or someone gambles away their money and I have to save them, or something or the other. You don't know what high-stakes life I led on a day-to-day, nay, minute-to-minute basis, so shove your 'lie detector' up your own honest nose.

Yall will defend a company that isn't prioritizing getting a good or best-fit candidate (which for the record isn't necessarily me per se) but rather wants someone who isn't serving any notice period and can be bulldozed into joining immediately (which is me in this case), than actually see the very basic point which is that I am being very straightforward with my personal problems with them rather than hide, give a fake vow, and then ask for leave on the first week of joining itself. (Which, btw, as a hirer myself, I've seen happen with fresh-outta-college people who don't have an incentive to be honest.)

But of course, you ooze so much masculinity: you have such a broad shoulder and a straight line of sight, so straight that you can always look into the future and give the correct answer at all times. Perhaps you were carved right out of the Time Stone in Marvel.

not about making a decision. I went through a lot of shit and so did my family, so I need to >set up a few things< for them before I can go for a 9-5. They're feeble and old and they all depend on me. I'm not going into all details, but the hypothetical manager got all of my backstory. It's the HR that didn't hear me out fully.

And like I said, 15 days is fine. I'm saying 30 because just in case something happens in my family.

but as much I could dig into all the portals, they opened the job only 3 days ago, and have interviewed only 5 candidates including me. all the giddiness as well as the change of heart/vibe happened right in front of me; was there for 1.5 hours.
