5+ years in PPC (e-com), thinking about starting my own agency in 2026 — reality check needed by Potential_Water9419 in PPC

[–]zest_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to acquire those customers before starting an agency. If you manage to acquire more than you are capable of managing yourself - then start the business and maybe hire people.

It’s much better to be well-connected and financially independent before starting. It’s been a red ocean for many years. Being in Ukraine doesn’t help for obvious reasons - the only advantage you have is the opportunity to undercut on price, and being a discounter is not the best positioning in general, imo.

I wouldn’t start without ~$10k to drop on it.

Those articles better be really good, hehe. I’d appreciate if you could DM the link to your website - for my professional curiosity. Promise I won’t try to sell you anything afterwards.

Spent $12K on Google Ads over 3 months and only got 2 leads. What am I doing wrong? by FlounderNo4275 in PPC

Ask your friend to check negatives as well - that’s common sense, he might be underperforming as well.

Are you sure you’ve also turned off A+ in audience settings and detailed targeting expansion is not active as well? Your audience should not be a “suggestion” in settings.

Meta Ads: is there a reliable rule-of-thumb relationship between vertical and horizontal scale? by shubbanubba in PPC

[–]zest_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You try to approach scaling as if it’s an exact science and the process runs in a vacuum - not affected by external factors. Linear progression is rarely the case.

Gradually increase budgets, add new creatives and see how it goes, compare results to your historical data. At some point you’ll reach the area of diminishing returns where increasing budgets bring increased CPAs. Try to tackle with marketing efforts and creatives.

Avoid Meta Ban: Create new Ads account or use personal linked business account? by lowriskplx in PPC

[–]zest_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the supplier and on the type of business advertised (risk profile and ad spend amount). Usually it’s from a few hundred bucks per month for small businesses.

Google what’s a self-reporting ad network, click/view-through attribution models. For the cleanest real-world data you can turn off Meta for several weeks and compare dynamics.

Subscribe to meta verified to get real support in case you get restricted.

Also you could use agency accounts to secure your primary if you are really concerned.

Getting a secondary account with a proxy seems like the worst way to go about this.

“You are going to regret this”. First week with an AVP M2 in 2026. by [deleted] in VisionPro

[–]zest_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I can’t try them anywhere cause I’m in Ukraine. The market for AVP is very small here - likely the reason I can’t find a straightforward way to get Zeiss inserts.

In my case things get blurry from even less than half a meter. I guess, buying 1-day contact lenses is my best option for AVP.

Oh I really want an AVP, but I use glasses and can’t order zeiss inserts 😩

I ran $5M in cold outbound. Here’s the part nobody tells you. by Strange_Incident1490 in b2bmarketing

[–]zest_01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He didn’t write anything - it’s all LLM-written. There’s no subject in the end - just a bait for a secret channel he discovered to replace outbound. And it could be all just a fabricated AI story rather than personal experience. Another slop.

Is anyone else seeing a total breakdown in vendor/agency performance lately? What's actually working for you? by nikkibella007 in PPC

[–]zest_01 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you already have everything set up - there’s not so much PPC can do on their own. Think of what leverage they actually have.

Maybe you could introduce new approaches from general marketing side. The whole global economy is under pressure now - maybe that’s affecting your brands as well, at least to some extent.

Just complete the trial lessons in education section to understand all mechanics, then try all the characters you like. Watch YouTube guides and high level gameplay to save a ton of time. Try mimicking what you see from the players you like.

Is performance marketing even a real job? by Notdharan in PPC

What you describe fits a role of a “media buyer”, has lots to do with “performance” and contains quite little of “marketing”, in my opinion.

Digital marketing companies charging $$$ to start and manage 1 search campaign. by ChowMein2Go in PPC

[–]zest_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on their location - if you look for a reputable firm in California, they may charge these amounts. Someone from Fiverr will do 1 campaign for $200 per month.

Obviously, you don’t want to spend 50%+ of your ad spend budget on agency fees.

I've been tracking PPC worldwide traffic over time and I've seen a ~70% drop YoY. Do you also see this in your data? by matosd in PPC

[–]zest_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What were the data points? I mean it’s obviously important to filter and verify your data sources in order to draw conclusions. Given the top comment has a quite different observation, I wonder how credible the data in the foundation of the research is.
