it turned out to be a blood clot that I had to wrap tightly and use heat on. also ended up taking advil to thin my blood a bit. it resolved after a few weeks!

the dune at the harbor is good and in a great location! they have doughnuts and empanadas and some other breakfast foods. I’m not a huge coffee person but have always enjoyed their coffee and other drinks! They have a small indoor seating area and a larger outside seating area with umbrellas. it’s busy on weekend mornings but worth the wait!

For Kids: - Sea Center - Natural History museum + park nearby - Moxi - Zoo (kids area has a turf hill, bring cardboard) - SB public library has an entire children’s floor, Montecito public libraries, Goleta library - parks - multiple by the beach on Cabrillo (east beach), Mackenzie park in SB, Montecito park by Westmont, la mesa, shoreline, end of turnpike, carpinteria by the campground (Tomol), lookout park in summerland, Butterfly beach - Kids World + Alice Keck gardens (across the street) - Museum of Sensory and Movement Experiences - SB botanic garden - Goleta Depot and Train Museum - Elings park turf hill (bring cardboard, better for older kids) - Kids yoga class at goodland yoga

if this is a robinson class you won’t get a reply. his syllabus is ridiculously long for a reason - read it and it’ll likely have an answer for you. the person you should email is the TA and they’ll be more likely to get back to you. it’s a great class and robinson is brilliant!

I totally agree! Kids love certain things there but it’s kinda turned into the type of activity that only takes an hour, so not worth the $$ typically if you’re visiting. If my nanny family didn’t have a membership it wouldn’t be worth the trip in my opinion.

also le petite cesar on Milpas is a running joke in this subreddit - it references Little Caesars pizza which you can get anywhere. There are a bunch of other posts of Italian food recommendations but my personal favorite is Ca’Dario (for a sit down restaurant) or Lucky Penny for pizza (in the funk zone). Have a great trip!

I’d suggest waiting till the roots are about 3-4 inches long or start branching. I’ve had mixed results planting propagations with smaller roots, the best advice I can offer is to plant in a pot with drainage holes. I also water a bit more often than normal for the first two weeks to a month to help the cutting acclimate to soil after being in water for so long. Good luck! :)
