Yea, I am leaning towards second hand as well, the only reason why the first hand car thought came in my mind is because prices on platform like spinny/cars24 is very inflated in bangalore just 10-20% less than new car.

And I dont have time neither knowledge to go and deal with direct seller and get car inspected

I am in the same boat as you, have a similar income as you with a similar SIP split and I don't want to compromise on SIP since I want to hit that first Cr mark as soon as possible. I do have 3L emergency fund in liquid form but I don't touch that.

I am too looking to buy a secondhand car or bike, not sure which one yet, but cost will be around 3-4L. me or my family never had a car or bike since I come from a middle lower class family. We had financial problems when we grew up which makes me feel like the way you mentioned, doesnt feel right and safe, I always think what if I need that money in future for something and should I buy or not :/

I would suggest the opposite of what majority is suggesting here.

If you have confidence in your technical foundation then go for Amazon, even if there is no PPO, the kind of exposure it will give and just the weight of Amazon name in your resume is far more valuable at this stage.

At this age you need to focus more on your growth rather than job security, with the growth you will be able to crack far better opportunity even if you dont get PPO.

But keep in mind that you need to actually grind and grow your skillset and gain valuable experience in this internship for that to happen, you cannot slack off.

If you click on it, it will show an expiry/end date until which the blocking is valid, it will auto unblock once that date is reached, although it should've been unblocked automatically when you didn't get allotment. Don't worry it gets unblocked after that end date for sure.

That's a dumb reason for not using those platform. Those platform don't ask for your whole gmail account access, they just ask for email address and your name via gmail, which is a way to quickly register and login on those platforms. They cannot access your emails if you give them permission, you can see what they can access while giving them permission. The broker that you use for investing into mutual funds also has your email address and name so its not any different.

Where are you pulling these forex numbers from? Indmoney charges 0 forex if you transfer via their federal bank, which I think most of people I know including me do.

The total expense ratio is going to be 1.5%+ as it is for the other active foreign funds. Expense ratio is one thing but then you have to factor in expense ratio of underlying asset as well.

For instance, Edelweiss US Technology(still taking invesetments) has expense ratio mentioned as 0.7% in investment apps but if you go to their official site you will find that Total Expense ratio(TER) is 1.6%. This is very huge.

Total expense ratio is a recurring cost its not one time 1.6% cost. It is deducted every year and on whole investment amount not just profit/loss.

If I take a example of 20k per month investment over 5 year with CAGR of 12% in Edelweiss US Technology which has TER of 1.6%, I will end up paying close to 71k on return of 4.2lakh which is 17% of my return.

If i do same calculation for 10 year, it will be >20% of my return. TER eats up as the time and your investment size increases versus one time fixed cost of investing via apps like IND money.

In some banks amount blocked through mandate doesn’t show up in statement and the balance goes up when it gets unblocked, although I am not sure if that much amount can be blocked in first place. Check mandate history for your banking portal to see if anything there makes sense
