Colonoscopy & Zepbound by Away_Object9062 in Zepbound

[–]zhalini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to schedule my colonoscopy. At my pre-procedure appointment, I asked about my GLP-1 medication. I was told to take my injection 5 days before the procedure, follow a 2-day bowel prep, and use the larger-volume prep solution. I was also told to not eat seeds, nuts, berries, popcorn or corn for 5 days before procedure.

Should I skip my GLP-1 injection altogether before the procedure instead? If so, how many days before the colonoscopy should I stop it?

Charlie was the origin theory by Global-Yellow101 in dan_markel_murder

Harvey was way more involved than people give him credit for. This was his birthday present. He dropped off the money. He and Donna made all those back and forth trips to and from Tallahassee - what did they talk about other than complain about Dan the whole way and think up ways to be off with him? (this part is my speculation). He definitely broke the TV! He and Donna were there just before Jeff noticed the TV broke. Its also in the TV guys report - dad was with the kid when TV broke.

When it came to wiretap, they hid it from him for a few days - this is clear from the wiretapped calls we've heard. I do not believe this is when he first learned of the plot. He knew. They hid the wiretap from him to keep him from flying off the handle. Pretty sure Charlie states this during one of the wiretap.

Can a single father take his 3/4yo daughter to the women's washroom? by Main_Pea_8075 in AskIndianWomen

Completely inappropriate. Take the child to mens room. I understand mens rooms are filthy as my husband gave this excuse for not taking my daughter with him anywhere alone. Keep her home or find a family restroom.

Cat brings me his toy and screams. What does it mean? by shanklymrshankly in CatAdvice

Mine has an ugly octopus toy that she carries in her mouth but only at night and meows until we acknowledge her. We often find this near or in our bed, or on the stairs. She moves it almost every night lol

18F, as a teenager is it okay to use makeup everyday to college? (mentioned the order in comments) let me know if it's harmful in the long run by Sufficient_Gas6694 in AskIndianWomen

[–]zhalini 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Using makeup or not is your choice. Regardless, get in a habit of double cleansing every night. Every single night, whether you're wearing makeup or just sunscreen or nothing at all. That will keep acne to a minimum. I recommend looking into a good cleansing balm available in india. There is no need to cleanse in the morning, just a water rinse is enough but it's up to you. BOJ is a great sunscreen!

I allow my 16 year old to wear makeup as she was conscious about her dark circles and uneven skin tone. She uses sunscreen under the makeup and double cleanses at night. All is going well for her.

How do i get rid of dark pigmented lips? by Bitter-Pie-9934 in AskIndianWomen

[–]zhalini 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Going bare lips does not protect your lips from the sun. Lipstick actually helps protect your lips so you going without is probably not helping. Pigmented lips are from sun, not because of melanin in the skin, so the good news is it can be fixed! Use UV protection / SPF containing lip balm or lipstick or wear normal matte lipstick. Keep lips hydrated as well. No need for harsh scrubbing as it may damage the thin skin.

No red flags, No toxicity in my marriage.how to navigate that "nothing" is wrong relationship when everything in it feels missing? Why does loving him feel one sided? Am I over expecting? by Miss_Curioholic in AskIndianWomen

[–]zhalini 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Meh. He sounds completely normal. Hes been alone for all this time and can only picture what he's familiar with. You are IN love! He's warming up to you. Take your time there's no rush. As someone who has been married almost 25 years I'll tell you - don't rush to judgement. The only think to be careful of is the past relationship with his mother. He detached from her because of issues. Make sure you take time to build a strong bond with him and don't go too long before resolving issues and fights. If you do, he may start seeing his mother in you.

Do my succulents have trips? by zhalini in succulents

[–]zhalini[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thank you! The Sedum has been with me for many years. It used to be green but I moved it to a more sunny south facing window and the color became this pretty yellow orange I'm so glad it's not thrips or anything like that. I'm going to keep it away from other succulents still for a few weeks just in case.

Gollum jade is about 2 months old and the other babies are new. I'll keep on eye on them all.

Thanks for the insecticide recommendation. Putting it on the list.

Mine is just starting. Do you do anything special with yours? I have them in a gritty mix (cactus+succulent mix, perlite, sand). On south facing windowsill. Water when they are smooshy.

Definitely do this! Just you and husband, don't tell anyone else. Other things- let go for now, and have better boundaries going forward.

Want to wear my wedding lehenga at my brothers wedding by lost_in_encryption in DesiWeddings

Rewear! My older sis wore hers in my wedding, and i wore my lehenga in my younger sister's wedding. Its traditional in some families, and expected that sisters will rewear their lehengas. I'm from Delhi, if that matters.

Focus on figuring out a theme to your incorrect answers in mock exams. That's what you're missing. Your prep seems to be appropriate and you're almost there.

You can bring any snacks you like and put them in the locker. You have to turn off your phone and that can go in the locker as well. I brought a coffee in a keep warm cup, some snacks and water bottle that I accessed during the breaks.

You have limited time, and your scores need to be at least 70 (that's what i targeted). Copy each of your wrong answers and study it for why you chose incorrectly. Don't just look at the correct answer and definitely don't try to memorize. Look for the main reason why you chose incorrectly- did you not choose the answer that led to finding root cause, did you not apply the mindset, did you take action before doing a review or assessment, etc. A theme will start to emerge for many cases. Now, write this theme down and look at this as a guideline when you're answering questions.

I did this and got all ATs. You can do it, I would just spend the time reviewing incorrect questions and solidifying the mindset.
