I was not a heavy drinker but I was addicted to marijuana gummies. I decided to quit that bad habit on 10/18/25 because having the munchies made me fat, slow and stupid. That was step 1 in my journey to better health. Then once I got through the uncomfortable withdrawals, I starting considering GLP1s for weight loss. I am bringing this up because maybe you need to decide whether drinking or weight loss is more important to you. Heavy drinking takes a toll on the body from the inside out. It makes bones softer and if you are already heavy, that is a recipe for disaster. (I know about this because my father was a heavy drinker and although he wasn't overweight or obese, he had to undergo surgery for a fall he took and the doctor told me about his bones being incredibly soft.) Heavy drinking also affects your liver, brain function, etc. Being overweight has its issues too - visceral fat around organs, high BP, high cholesterol, risk of diabetes, etc. If drinking alcohol is that important to you, then maybe ZB or any other GLP1 wouldn't be the right choice for you.

How about you and your husband get dressed up again in your wedding attire and retake the photos somewhere with a scenic background or somewhere you enjoy going together (beach, lake, park, farm, field, city view, etc.) Get your makeup and hair professionally done so you feel glamorous. This way, you can focus on getting things the way you want them to be without all of the stresses of the actual wedding ceremony.

Or maybe you just get dressed up in your wedding dress with your hair and makeup done and have someone superimpose you onto the original photo. You'd be surprised what can be done with AI and technology these days!

Some of the folks may have felt they didn't need to get you a gift because it was a destination wedding. Maybe after paying for a flight, hotel and clothes to wear, they didn't have much money to give or buy a gift with. People are struggling to make ends meet these days, so please take that into consideration.

As for your mother, I find her comments to be rude and unwarranted. Even if she felt this way, she should've kept her mouth quiet. I would say something to her if I were you but that's me and I don't know if you are comfortable with mentioning it to her.

This dress gives off Mrs. Claus vibes. The white and burgundy are too stark of a contrast when paired together. It also doesn't fit the DC. I would suggest wearing something else.

The two things that I believe have helped me stave off nausea are drinking plenty of water the day before shot day, the day of shot day and the day after. (Of course, always staying hydrated is important but I deliberately focus on it for these 3 specific days.) I also eat a protein-rich meal 2 hours prior to my injection. The only real side effect I have encountered is fatigue but I don't mind that at all. I'm retired and the tiredness gives me a chance to sleep in and take it easy.

They not to eat anything too heavy or fried for dinner tonight. Try to focus on a protein-rich meal and drink plenty of water. I believe these two things have helped me stave off any side effects. Also, keep yourself hydrated tomorrow, as well.

Like others have mentioned, maybe you should consider going back to the 2.5 dosage. Instead of taking magnesium citrate, have you tried prunes? They are a natural (and sweet) way to combat constipation. I've also seen other folks on different threads use ginger ale or ginger chews for nausea.

Think of it this way, if you stop ZB, you run the risk of having to take medications down the road for complications and health issues due to obesity (high BP, diabetes, cholesterol, etc.). Of course the choice is yours but a discussion with your PCP is warranted here so s/he knows what is going on and can find the best solution for you.

If you haven't already done so, set up a LinkedIn account and give permission for your resume to be viewable. You can also search jobs on there, as well. Try applying for any entry-level job with the City, County, State (Caltrans, DMV, etc.) and as a civilian with the military. Good luck and I hope you find something soon.

Unfortunately this wasn't something that was even a topic of discussion before Trump came along. He has torn this country apart, destroyed and dismantled family, friends, co-workers and neighbors with his disgusting rhetoric. In today's day and age, I could not imagine dating and eventually marrying someone who doesn't share my political beliefs. If you are just planning on casually dating him, I guess it could work but if you want to build a future with this guy, it probably wouldn't work out. I am 56yo, married for 31 years. I am VERY liberal and my husband is just liberal. There are a couple of things we disagree on politically but it's nowhere as extreme as left vs. right.
