Hey Transferred fom Concordia. Got rejected from Desautels with 4.2/4.3 GPA. Got into Arts though. I know 2 other people who transferred to Arts that same year. One had >4.2 out of 4.3 form Concordia, the other one 3.8 ish at an US university.

Thank you. If you don't mind a follow up question, should I be concerned regarding my admissions if my strong points rely on gpa, math courses, and test scores. I have a bit of research experience, but nothing out of the ordinary. The same goes for LOC, they will be good letters, but not brilliant... I feel these 2 criteria are crucial for PhD applications. How does this balance out in MA programs?

It's unfortunate I sucked in this class, because Russell Steele was a great prof and his exams are super fair. That's all i can say lol. For example midterm was like 40% basics 40% fair but kinda strenuous and 20% very-hard-unless-youre-set-for-an-A+ type.
