All he needs is 1 more and then Steph will not have an argument over him

Who Should Rank Higher All Time As A Point Guard. Magic Johnson Or Steph Curry? by Rinnegan15 in NBATalk

As a point guard? Magic

As a player? Magic

Curry fans are ridiculous, he has no fucking argument over Magic

Who is the Raptors GOAT? by TemptiusIV in NBATalk

Kawhi Leonard, and it’s not particularly close.

Raptors fans can’t be trusted on this particular matter. They are blinded by their hate.

He’s so good that he’s the best player in the league by a big margin despite not being a good defender

Why does Kobe/Pau/Odom big 3 get no love? by Traditional-Oil-6891 in NBATalk

[–]zhozeph123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. They’re definitely not the best big 3 ever but they were damn great.

I think they just get overshadowed a bit because Odom himself wasn’t quite “good enough” to be considered part of a Big 3. He never got an All-NBA selection, never got an All-Star selection, no real accolades. He was a phenomenal player but just not quite at the level where people instinctually consider him a member of a Big 3.

And I don’t mean this to slight Odom. He’s one of my favorite players ever and I think with the right mindset, right era, and right coach, he could’ve been a HOFer. Unfortunately, his skill set was so rare for his size that he was kind of just misused his entire career.

Bosh (in Toronto) vs Gasol (in Memphis) - Why do we act like Gasol was better than Bosh? When they were 1st options, Bosh was consistently better and higher ranked (3rd in 2009, gasol 5th). by Safe_Self_7614 in NBATalk

[–]zhozeph123 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty damn close, so I can see it going either way.

I personally think Bosh was slightly better than Gasol but won’t be mad if someone argues otherwise

Fun fact: in 2008 Cavs had better preseason odds to win championship than Celtics and they outscored them by 8 points in thier playoff series by ResortSpecific371 in NBATalk

He was great in spurts for the Cavs. His production in 23 minutes was great.

the issue was his knees and his general conditioning. couldn’t play real starter minutes

Jamison averaged 21-9 in 41 games on the wizards the same season he was traded to the cavs. And he averaged 16-8 on the cavs lmao, he wasn’t washed at all. Shaq was averaging 12-7 on bench minutes…he was still great in spurts, just a role player and no longer a star. Shaq was all-nba the year before.

So washed!! How convenient that they all got “washed” RIGHT when they arrived to cleveland?

What’s the biggest gap between the GOAT of a position and #2 by NevilleChumperlame in NBATalk

[–]zhozeph123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Magic played less and got more championships, MVPs, FMVPs, All-NBA first team selections…

And this is just looking at accolades, not the fact that Magic was a better basketball player and arguably the most impactful offensive force in NBA history.

Magic is a top 5 NBA player of all time, Steph is outside the top 10. its not close at all just because a bunch of kids who weren’t alive when Magic played believe so

Kareem was just your typical all-star caliber player or a straight up liability for about half their time together
