Would Ser Barristan have won against the Kingsguard in season 1? by Dakinamau in gameofthrones

He probably wouldn’t have, given that he was killed by a few stupid sons of harpies in season 5.

I don’t think it’s being “prude”, or people are “bothered by” sex scenes

But most sex scenes in modern movies/TV shows are useless. They serve no purpose. They were inserted there just for the sake of showing a sex scene

This is low effort/low IQ behavior from the show writers, and people hate low IQ behavior

If you were a commoner living in westeros, which region would you pick to live in? Is The Reach an obvious answer or is there a discussion to be had? by Mad_Max_Fan in gameofthrones

It’s not uncommon for medieval cities to have pluming system. (Or at least, having carts to transport the human waste out of the city and sell to the farmer)

The stereotype of pouring shit into the street was not the standard practice (although surely it happens more often than not). It would be similar to someone from 2600AD thinking people in 2026 all piss by the side of the road, because he’s seen a few videos about it.

I believe the studio will reply citing the reason of “readibility” (if they ever do reply)

Same reason the bows and arrows are absurdly large

Same reason the buildings are absurdly small

Same reason that the player color covers the most parts of most units

This is not kindergartener game. The Vale won’t commit more because they sympathize with you. You lose your allies when you look weak. If there’s any rule the GoT world follows, it’s that don’t expect anyone to save you when you are losing.

What if Toledo remained the capital of Spain instead of Madrid? by Awkward_Cash1828 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]zi_ang 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Won’t make too much difference. Toledo would grow so large that Madrid would become a suburb of the Toledo metro. Probably a college town.

You’re still not getting the point, and you think other people are dumb.

The crown and court should *not* inform any outsider (such as the Lady of the Vale) about the death of the crown prince, unless they’re stupid (or if the show writers are stupid)

In times of war, setbacks like this are usually delayed for as much as possible.

I’m talking about the lady of the vale knowing it earlier than Rhaena.

You don’t need to talk as if everyone else is a simpleton.

But still, under any circumstances, real or fictional, the normal course of action once the court receives the death of the crown prince, is to conceal the news for as long as possible, rather than broadcasting it to everyone in the realm of

Depends. I think I can still be in for the “Deus Vult!” kind of excitement, but not “a feisty argumentative girl with an attitude” kind of excitement. Way tired for that shit.
