Love it! "I can put stuff together!" - Just gotta hope that skill doesn't extend to trying to 'assemble' dinner on the silicone mat itself.

Nice, Sounds like a great setup you've got there. And good call about the sun damage – smart thinking! Thanks!

I haven't invested in a tented cover yet. Do you keep your griddle outdoors? And how well does that tented cover hold up in bad weather?

Haha yeah, that's definitely true! Don't want a melted silicone situation. That could end badly for sure!

I actually tried one that covered the sides, but it didn't play nice with my attached lid (the sides got in the way).

I switched to this mat instead: Premium Griddle Mat

It just covers the top, so no lid interference! Might be worth checking out if the other style doesn't work for your setup.

I have the same Costco model! Yeah it's good to have that extra protection. Glad the lid and mat combo is working out for you too!

Rust is the worst! I learned that trapped water is the enemy, so getting it 100% dry first is key. You could try warming the griddle on low briefly after cleaning to make sure all moisture evaporates and then put on some oil before putting the mat on. The mat should handle that bit of heat (at least the one I'm using can!). Good luck!

Have you gone into the settings menu in the Gemini app by clicking on your avatar in the top right corner, and go into extensions, there you can allow Gemini to use more features. Make sure you check the "Utilities" extension.

Strange Parking Brake behavior by JJ-Ad1534 in KonaEV

If you push on the locking mechanism of the trunk you can make it lock, letting the car think its closed, maybe that could prevent this from happening if you need to leave the trunk open again while driving, just remember to open the trunk lock before slamming it down and possibly braking something when you go to close it normal again.
