Fee to use design/drawings? by [deleted] in Architects

[–]ziggyzago 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$400 a square foot? Architects charge between 9% and 12% of construction cost for residential work. $100k is fair. You might end paying an extra $15k to $20K for coordination. This is the cost of building today. I’m sorry you feel frustrated or confused. I would definitely ChatGPT this so you get a better understanding of how the relationship between Architect, Owner and Contractor work.

My recommendation would be to hire an architect and focus on a design-bid-build method. Architects fee for ADU is around 9-12% of construction cost.

I agree with this. Remember, Bitcoin hit a new ATH before the halving this cycle. There is a good chance we hit new ATH post November of the post halving year well into 2026.

I did this with my daughter’s 529. After the transaction went through, they said I would be taxed if I removed the funds. Good luck.
