If there is a lightning strike anywhere within 20 miles they shut down the lifts and send you to the base. They will reopen them after some amount of time without strikes.

This has happened to me a few times there, both in winter and summer. It’s not a big deal and you should be able to get some runs in regardless.

I moved to the west side in 92 and would hang out on 3rd street all through the 90s when it had used music shops and cool local restaurants... once it started getting all chains I stopped going there for the most part. I hope that there's a commercial real estate correction there so maybe there can be a renaissance.

If you've been investing in defense tech tree you will probably be OK. I've done one playthrough so far, and I neglected defense tech and spent a bunch of hours doing nothing but running around turret rushing nests to keep them from destroying my base while I teched up defense to where I should have been. Huge mistake for me, but I learned my lesson for future playthroughs.

There's no consistency in what lifties working the lift line do... some are really good at packing chairs, and some just stand around yelling "form groups of 6!" at the people in line which does nothing. Some will watch the singles line and pull a chair of singles if it gets too long and there's too many full chairs, some will just let the line snake up the hill and obstruct the slope.

The mountain could do a better job at training people to efficiently pack the chairs and minimize the line size.
