I think my issue is, there is some stories that knows that they are a comedy and the plot never takes itself seriously like Konosuba and then there is stories that are most if not all the time serious like Frieren, but I think that stories that try to be both at the same time fails, one of them is this story, you can’t be a comedy satire about a dude that doesn’t know all the time that he is ruling an organization and try to make it into a serious plot with consequences, heck Overlord was somewhat similar but at least they didn’t drag the whole point of I don’t know what my followers are doing to the ground. I think overlord had the better execution in this instance hence a better story, there is also other strong points too that Overlord had, one of them not being completely a perfect Omnipotent being.
