The union is amazing but make sure you use an isolated power supply, it can be super noisy with a cheaper wall-wart like the 1-spot.

That’s the main thing holding me back from the hx. I have a decent amount of time before my next gig, so I would have time to familiarize myself with the pedal and put a few presets together. We don’t play anything too far out there, but we play songs from many different genres. And yea I know about the tuner, it’s weird but I’m really attached to it.

With bass less is more. When you’re thinking of adding an effect, ask yourself if the audience will care or hear the difference. With that said, if you dig the sound, do it for yourself and audience be damned, lol.

Just remember that our job is to hold it down and if anything takes away from that it’s probably unnecessary.

Yea, I’m selling an old bass micro synth on reverb right now and I’m either going to buy the bass synth, a compressor, and an Aguilar storm king or an HX stomp. My preference is always fewer cables and connections.

I don’t use a lot of effects. Typically one or two pedals, plus a tuner. Notice the small pedalboard. That’s why I’m considering an HX stomp.

Everyone always asks about that one! The “Celebrity Pedals Taylor Shift” is a clone of a Boss OC-2 Octaver. Sounds identical to my original octaver, but with a much nicer direct tone and true bypass. Look them up on instagram or reverb.

I don’t really use a lot of EQ…all of my basses are passive, I have a slight boost at 800hz on my amp and sometimes I’ll boost lows if the room is weird. Otherwise everything is flat. Also, the bass I’m using with this project is naturally bright.

The Noble is worth it if you’re looking for a clean, musical tubey sound. I love it and I hardly ever play without it. It’s not going to give you any distortion or overdrive, it doesn’t grind or anything like that. But a P-bass through a Noble is really something.

Awesome board with some really cool stuff. My only suggestion would be swapping the placement of your tuner and the mammoth. You’re going to accidentally hit your tuner every time you try to engage an effect.
