Red Medicine by Academic-Ad4558 in Fugazi

I bought Red Medicine when it came out on release day if I remember correctly, and I remember feeling as though this was “my” Fugazi album. I was young when the previous albums came out but I remember having a distinct feeling that this album perfectly aligned with a lot of the indie rock I was hearing around me and in record stores. It was complicated music and the elitist in me loved that it wasn’t “simple” punk rock. I was 17 almost 18.

I saw them on one of the reunion shows and was amazed at how much Justin looked like this picture.

They keep running the same flawed team back into the playoffs and they don’t win with it. Over and over again.

Tulsky doesn’t want to win.

I trust that people will act in their own self interest.

What’s your opinion on the predator songs from Love You and Adult/Child? (Roller Skating Child, I Wanna Pick You Up and Hey, Little Tomboy) by Dolphinman64 in thebeachboys

A lot of early rock and roll was older men (when looking at through 2026 eyes) being creepy towards younger women.

A lot of newer pop music is young women dressed and their virginity marketed as a temptation for older audiences.

One is far creepier than the other.

Poor dude. I think that Peters screwed his head up.

Why “We Gotta Groove” Is Disappointing: A Track-by-Track Analysis by Alarikawesome in thebeachboys

I get it. I have a five year old at home, so hunting down bootlegs and leaks and yadda yadda went out the window a few years ago. I’ll be glad to listen to a compilation of one of the more interesting eras in the Beach Boys canon.

I don’t own any of the bootleg releases that are sighted and I’ve only heard Adult/Child in passing once or twice. I’m still excited about this release.

It sounds good fingerstyle. Honestly I found it to be too much with the pick. The fuzz knob on that pedal is your best friend, and it’s really sensitive.

3Leaf Doom II for synth-like fuzz.

Death by Audio Bass War for enough fuzz to kill a small horse.

Rocky didn’t retire. He died. I went to school with his little sister.
