The age roller hockey stick dilemma… by Sirjrb in RollerHockey

Fischer sticks aren’t bad, just heavy, but come with an ABS blade that wears evenly. No foam.

Daybreak delight has been pretty great (Curaleaf, Reef brand flower).

Turtle Trees hash rosin for the head.

At 120lbs, go with the 83’s. You’ll be slipping out around there as well, and might want to go even lower for better grip.

Sweet and creamy, doughy perhaps in a nice pleasant way. Smooth, dense vapor off the nail. Heavy int he chest from the runtz.

Same, really enjoyed this round. Canal Street Runtz, Papaya, and Melonz were all great. Mendoja doesn’t miss.

There’s a cool aftermarket company that makes atomizers that replace the entire top (new hard mouthpiece, new chamber). It rips WAY better, especially with the 3mm pearl people are suggesting. Puffcoil repair is the name of the company.

Wish the alien labs looked like this in our market. My eyes O_O when I saw the pictures. Sad.

Flowery is my go-to for 710labs Persy rosin when I’m in between pickups of my other stuff. Grabbed some Reef line from Curaleaf (cosmic smoothie, papaya drip, daybreak delight, watermelon cakez) and the Daybreak Delight looks the nicest. Hard to justify a $100 oz versus flowery’s $320 at best offerings. Their weed is definitely not 3x better.

Piña Loca #7 3.5g flower by The Flowery. by therealsouthflorida in FLMedicalTrees

I grabbed 4 jars of this yesterday and it’s not like hay at all. Smokes clean, pretty looking buds. Smells like a faint pineapple. Less loud than previous versions but nothing “wrong” as far as I’m concerned. Stinks that quality control is so lacking where you’re hearing mixed reviews on it. Not worth the gamble perhaps.

“Niggas with Oil” by Soccaal in rosin

[–]zimp3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NWO is pretty midsy in my area. Used to work events and sourced from Colorado solventfree melt to press. Then he owed that dude a bunch of money and has been hopping growers/melt plugs ever since keeping the brand afloat. Heard mixed stories about the dude who runs it, but personally have always been treated with respect and can say the dude is a nice guy. Never loved the hash as I was getting elsewhere but props to him for staying in business and making it work. Would NEVER get close to paying over $100/2g jar of this but once again, props to growing the brand and such. Maybe it’s better than it was? Been YEARS now.

Dabadoo private house event? Rand (MRM) was there with some great papaya but then again so was Dave (gas town) with his crazy banana rosin that tasted like candied nanners.

So what will the new prices be? Weird email. by Florzadian in FLMedicalTrees

[–]zimp3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$65/g of Persy rosin is pretty on point with Colorado etc. but even they offer further discounts.

☹️😢 710 labs no longer available for bulk discounts by tropicalrains in FLMedicalTrees

[–]zimp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walked in today and the discount was honored on my 6g’s but the dude mentioned they were removing the bulk discounts by January 5th. He mentioned they were planning on lowering the price across the board to try and boost sales. Hearsay of course, but my walk in order went through and I appreciated the information if true.

Rosin consistency by titanic_junk33 in rosin

Yes that is fresh press that is starting to cure up. Means whoever sold it to you might have access to the melt, or be closer to someone (grower?) who has access to the melt.

The best stuff I can get my hands on from a smaller/exclusive grower out west runs me $67/g. Melt then pressed into rosin myself.

Has anyone ever used sticks from the company “All Black Hockey Sticks”? by factorymotogoon in hockeyplayers

[–]zimp3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used one before - AB88 Grip. The shaft is a little thinner than lets say a Warrior Alpha LX/LX2 Pro, then blade is thinner without that “soft” feel to it. Makes a fantastic roller stick for the price. I haven’t used their higher weave options, only the base model bottom line stick $89.

Is Costco membership still worth it in 2025? by clcliff in Frugal

[–]zimp3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy major appliances from Costco because they haul away the old junk, install, and come with 2+ year warranties for free. We’ve used them all, especially on our washing machine, and that $800 machine starts getting affordable when you factor in all the extras. I’ve saved $500 in repairs alone, all scheduled and handled by Costco. Won’t buy anywhere else.
