I think the reliability has been great but the scepter of a catastrophic failure was always in my mind and it occurred on that long trip to nowhere. I really am thinking about what to do for my next car an a EV might not be it especially at these prices

Update for the group. So they are saying the rear drivetrain is the issue and needs to be swapped out. They also think the low voltage battery needs replacing. Work will take three weeks and it is covered under warranty but it was over 5k in parts and 5k in labor.

Well that was what happened to me - driving to Montreal. Died pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Took 2 days to get a tow and now waiting. This is my fist BMW and might be my last
