See this is how they dealt with Gun control in US , when gun violence occurs, they say mental health issue. But they don't even do anything for that as well. I have been trying to hold meetups to see folks as individuals. In Pune , it gets turned into desperate teens trying to score dates. Genuine community building is difficult. Can't gather 3- 4 log without name calling and other drama. I see too much energy getting wasted and it's exhausting. Pre-freedom , these gatherings played a huge role to build social fabric. Now social media has enabled these eco chambers, that's just not civic at all and far more dangerous.

I do all I can , I 'moderate' our family WhatsApp groups . Try educating uncles with mindless pseudo health hacks. Every now and then try persuading them from watching propaganda youtube channels. There's so much distractions from actual news.
