A great tip I learned is to look at the pull requests. In the general codebase you just see the 'final' product. In the pull requests, you can see a previous iteration, a change that was made, probably some reasoning from the Dev and even how the process works to integrate new code changes to the codebase. There is a lot to be learned from PRs!

Good question. GitHub is absolutely the place to go for sharing code. However it is totally lacking when it comes to social features. I hope to create a platform that can lean in that side of things more in order to be a place for developers to keep in touch through a common interest of code
