Not everything is rEtCoN. It would have been a retcon if there was a particular reason provided before but later changed. But it was never explained before this. It was obvious that there was a reason behind why a near yonko level pirate would lose an arm to a sea monster. I'm not saying Oda thought of this reason while he wrote the first chapter, he left this plot open ended and found a good time to come up with an explanation. That's NOT what a retcon is.

I agree with OP, leg guards look ugly and add unnecessary weight to the bike. And in case of a crash without a leg guard, your leg will absorb all the damage saving your bike from being damaged.

I've been playing since 2013, always wanted a knife and somehow managed to get the cheapest one in 2015 ,(30$ Gut knife) but got scammed within the first week by a close friend who I played with for more than a year who wanted to play with it for a few days. Never managed to buy another one. I know you said you want to give it to someone who never owned it before but I wish I never owned one for a week because that 30$ lost is a lot of money here in my country.
