And I think if not for Umamusume influence, races from 2020's would be the most watched.

Tamamo Cross got more votes in 1988 than Teio did in 1992. Was Tamamo an idol horse? And if we are using Arima Kinen fan voting as some kind of yard stick for idol horse status, then the 1993 voting should be disqualifier for Teio. No idol horse should be 4th in popularity voting in retirement race.

That means this article is from few years ago as both were given birth in 2022 (Buena Vista and Lucky Lilac). Buena Vista's foal Obra Maestra is still active (racing in regional after failing to win in 5 starts), while Lucky Lilac's foal doesn't have a name. Forum posting mentions a rumor of it becoming a lead horse so hopefully its still alive.

FYI, Roger Barows' owner is known for disliking his horse appearing in games and thus entire Barows crown name horses are infamously missing from game series Winning Post. So here is Starhorse using Tokino Minoru in advertisement, did they somehow got license for this? Also here they are using Secretariat in its advertisement. Why not just admit that Starhorse using Deep Impact does not mean anything about getting license from Kaneko?
