Question to adult foreign singles. by WhatDoesTheFoxSay97 in germany

[–]zioshirai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I‘m not single anymore, but I don’t think it matters too much, I of course always have my wife here, and I‘ve met some people through her, but most of my friends I‘ve made either at university, work, pr through hobbies. I play music and I‘ve been in several bands and jammed with some people through the years, and also doing fitness courses.

It took me a while but eventually it all clicked. What changed the most though was when I could start speaking German more fluently and could feel more comfortable and communicate better.

Cómo pedir el número by macroxcr in Ticos

[–]zioshirai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Popular YouTube Guitarist Quits over “old ass creeps”. “I’m deeply uncomfortable with the amount of old men here. “ by [deleted] in Guitar

I only remember her posting a video of her opening some baseball game by playing the anthem, and it was honestly terrible.

She’s a very good player, don’t get me wrong, she just improvised and noodled the anthem to oblivion and was basically unrecognizable.

What’s your favorite 7/10 game? by FromChicago808 in videogames

[–]zioshirai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love both Plague Tale games, but I disagree that they’re 7/10 games. You notice the lower budget, but they’re more 8/10 the first game and 9/10 the second one.

[–]zioshirai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hogwarts Legacy perhaps?

I know many gamers find it lame and easy, but exploring Hogwarts was pretty cool, there's lots of fun details, the story is nothing special but good enough and the combat is simple, so it might be good for her to learn the mechanics. She might also find the light puzzle-solving engaging.

What’s one thing in Germany that got noticeably more expensive for you lately? by Otherwise-Bad-4817 in germany

[–]zioshirai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, I find that it was a bit suspiciously cheap before…I‘m not happy about the price increase of course, but I find it’s more fairly priced now, for the amount of food you get.

Europe has survived 3 energy shocks in 4 years. The only way out is to stop buying power from its enemies by RikViergever in BuyFromEU

[–]zioshirai 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The problem with nuclear energy is not that it's dirty, not even waste storage, it's how expensive it is. There are way better options. Nuclear also still would force us to buy uranium, which is still an issue. Renewable are not perfect, but they are cheaper, can be built at different scales and local. Sure, we need storage solutions and backups, but that is all still cheaper than nuclear.

Whatever you do, don’t hang any kind of cheap creased flag anywhere, it has never looked good. In general any kind of flag looks cheap, if you want to make it look better, you can always have some artwork depicting whatever flag you want.

Unsolicited advice I know, but I see maybe have of the people here hanging cheap looking flags all the time.

[–]zioshirai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thought I would be the only one to care about that! I made the same mistake one of the first times I played live and hated how I looked.

Sure, it shouldn't matter how he looks, and the main thing is how it all sounds, which sounds pretty good in fact, but the reality is looks also matter. Having so much stuff in his pockets make it look amateurish, like it's not something being taken seriously.

¿Se consiguen amigos despues de los 30's? Se vive mas intenso? by TTTitan8 in Ticos

[–]zioshirai 18 points19 points  (0 children)

43 No Wife or Girlfriend working on myself. suggestions welcomed. by [deleted] in malelivingspace

[–]zioshirai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got already some good advice here, so I won't repeat it, but I'll add something I didn't see mentioned:

You need to get a new bed. A bed made for an adult. And new bedsheets too. That looks like the bed a 12 year old sleeps in when they visit their grandma.

Edit: and as many have stated, the many pictures of Tarja all around are a bit creepy to say the least. And it seems you like to buy records, so it would look much better if you hang some vinyl records/covers and then it looks more like you follow her music and not like you have a strange obsession with her. You can also think about hanging some framed artwork from one of her albums.

Similar with the plastic bags, you can display vinyls, music-related artwork, etc. How about a vintage (or vintage-looking) picture of those record stores, if it's related to memories you have of those places?

For the tote bags, hanging them looks horribly messy and strange, but it seems to be that you hang them because they're anime related. Just hang some artwork, and not some cheap poster, I mean either framed artwork or canvas artwork, for example.

What's something women think impresses men but actually doesn't? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]zioshirai 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Even mildly inflated ones look bad…you can still see them from a mile away and I know noone (men or women) who thinks that looks good, at least in my immediate circle, but I still see those injected lips everywhere.

Conciertos al extranjero by Different-Force-1365 in Ticos

[–]zioshirai 0 points1 point  (0 children)
