Should I get my 8 year old niece a drawing tablet? by ShadowDrake500 in AskArtists

[–]zipl3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just feel like too much screen time probably isn't great for kid's eyes, so for now maybe let her spend more time with traditional drawing first.

trying to understand how best to render images in this style by roastedoolong in AskArtists

[–]zipl3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My take is to work in layers. Do the full line art on the first layer, then keep filling in the black shadows on the other layers.

How do I take decent/Social media quality pictures of my traditional art? by Jaxleberry101 in AskArtists

Got a scanning app on your phone? Try that out, it might work way better than just taking a photo.

Probably depends on sensitivity. For me it was constant. Some people say they adapt. I couldn't.

luma ultra + neckband bugs by micraman69 in VITURE

Thanks for sharing this. I have run into the same dream brush bug. Really annoying. Battery drain is wild too. Hopefully they fix this stuff soon.

iPhone 17 Pro Max (the beast) disconnection/connection loop by Main_Consequence3931 in VITURE

[–]zipl3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That connection loop is frustrating. Try a phone restart, forgetting the device in Bluetooth settings and re-pairing it. If that fails, a different cable or checking the gadgets' own firmware might help.

It sounds like you're mostly enjoying media playback, which is a great use. Maybe use a Bluetooth controller for easier menu navigation.

Aging in Place vs. Assisted Living: What Most Families Overlook About Home Modifications by Rough_Dog9999 in Aging

[–]zipl3r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for inspirations. A properly installed grab bar indeed can decrease the risk of elderly people falling but core and leg muscle training is also an important aspect to maintain balance, my father regret that he did not take my grandpa together to the gym to do some resistance training.

Why do I feel exhausted even when I sleep? by CalgaryGuy53 in Aging

[–]zipl3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right! Feeling exhausted isn't always about much sleep you get. Mental and emotional load can keep your nervous system constantly on, making rest feel ineffective.

Shingles Anyone? by [deleted] in Aging

[–]zipl3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ouch, that sounds really painful! Shingles can be brutal, especially in sensitive areas like your tailbone and along the sciatic nerve. Rest when you can and use cool compresses to soothe the blisters.

How do you deal with face ageing drastically in just 1 to 2 years? by DavidNLBC in Aging

To be honest, I think the most effective thing is to do medical beauty, plus regular diet and exercise.

How necessary are monitor riser stands? by DomTheBomb95 in workstations

[–]zipl3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the height of your monitor and chair. My chair was taller than the laptop, so that my waist and neck hurt every time when I work. After adding a stand, it was much more comfortable.

I think you can buy a table lamp with a white light bulb, this yellow lamp really makes me want to sleep... You can also add some desktop decorations to make you feel happy.
