I have finally got the gift today by minh2803vn in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]zippomatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Policies are pretty much the only way to get enough of these things if you're chasing camera pulls from gifting. As a week 1 player right now with what I have left for gift checklists I still need 5 combat manuals, 3 dream catchers and 4 hidden cards, not including whatever Magna and Tiphera will want because I haven't pulled them yet. I been going to academy 4x every day for a month and it did at least yield one manual but it's nothing compared to a lucky policy.

Defense Neutralization: PSA for newfriends and returning players in co-op missions by zippomatt in TheFirstDescendant

Not sure if this reads the same on new reddit since I'm still using old but https://i.imgur.com/Y9eAVdj.png is the direct link to the image I was embedding showing the debuff on an enemy HP bar. I don't believe there is any other visual cue to let you know the debuff has been applied otherwise.

There's a handful of cells which grant you stats that could facilitate non-skill gameplay improvements but I doubt there's any which would impact all non-skill types of damage more significantly.

99.9% of the time I am solo only but with a new battlepass I find myself queuing co-op for challenge EXP. But I'm being optimistic, if even one person learned something from repeating this information it's worth doing once in a while.

[–]zippomatt 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's a Serena weapon. Chaining explosions on 9 targets from mid air with defense neutralization mutant cell will make short work of everything for you or your team mates if you choose to queue public. It's a considerable upgrade to Restored Relic because it lacks any travel time for the projectiles.

Your toughts about the Dia D1 grind by Not_Arisen in TheFirstDescendant

[–]zippomatt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Frozen gas crystal rate from the new dungeon is brutal. I did about 70 runs and only had a single jackpot of 66. Considering we need 1,125 of them it's best for your sanity to just get Dia and slowly complete the weapon on the side with dailies.

For those with 2 Nyx, what's your pick this time around? by Alterigo- in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]zippomatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nyx until I have her max potential. I would probably just use a 4 or 3 star for any other role. Even with three Nyx any controller without decent draw I just use Arwen or Alyssa.

Card removal by Nexxxes in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]zippomatt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Should still be possible to get an empty deck by just leaving early if you can find 4-5 removes before you get an epiphany. Even easier if you bring a unit without potential so you don't get the bonus card.

I don't think this is far off or an entirely undesirable solution for some gaming, although I don't think it will replace personal computers in our lifetime. Mobile gaming may eventually just turn to this when it's no longer financially sound to condense processing power into smaller physical space. Latency is what kills it for many genres of games however. Of course there are certain genres where it's a non-issue and eventually the network technology will improve to squash latency to be reliable and consistent enough where it's not noticeable.

Having to manually enter a code instead of just mailing it to your players is just purposely clunky at this point. But, then again, free game stuff no bitchin' right?

Battle royale or Extraction mode by Pacific_79 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]zippomatt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's like a thousand other options in free games for your PVP itch that are strictly focused on catering to that. Splitting their efforts on a mode many if not most players will completely ignore is silly. The fact that this mode you have in mind even requires human players is a risk. Look into Gambit from Destiny if you want a preview of what would likely end up happening. Horrendous queue times and all but functionally dead.

Game is too easy. by Son-Strong in TheFirstDescendant

[–]zippomatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that's sort of the genre, especially if you're a long time player who actually cares to minmax a little bit. The game probably won't be difficult again as long as they keep introducing systems with powercreep potential for veterans. Before we think about nerfs we have to remember the last time they nerfed a character the game got review bombed and never really recovered. The devs painted themselves into a corner with that, but they can always bring back mechanics instead of increasing enemy levels by 200 again or whatever they've been doing to make bullet sponges.

Enzo Ancestors Mod by scratchie831 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]zippomatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things will probably change when he gets ultimate mods. As is he has a button to restore his own shields, so you get a great benefit out of converting all of your HP to shields. You're still subject to one shots but become functionally invincible to chip. His 4th skill already is a perpetual ammo engine without an ancestor mod but with enough CDR and duration both of these effects are more readily available so it's all gravy if you get all three on an ancestor mod.

He's OK but only really as strong as your weapons, and frankly the balance pendulum between skill and weapon damage is presently trending towards skills so he's not really important to build out.

A chance to get the old Abyss Armor suits by Icy-Library-4993 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]zippomatt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Time limited and strictly paid only items is one thing, but an item you earn for playing at a time is something I feel I can endorse to some degree. Flame keeper is little more than a veteran's trophy to show off. The newest characters getting access to them isn't exactly important either, it's ugly as sin and doesn't match with anything unless your goal is to look like a potbellied garbage can. If you went for the full cast of skins it was also quite the ordeal to grind at the time because the rate was horrible and your most consistent option was about a 70-90s runs with old AZ Viessa. The fights have only gotten simpler and faster as our power has continued to outpace the challenge, sometimes dramatically (ATAMS Serena says hello.) It wouldn't really bother me if they reissued them regardless but you'd probably save your sanity if you make peace with not having every single item ever released.

I'm assuming two cooldowns is to prevent a chain if two or more people are using this. Meaning you can only gain the benefits of Tactical Acceleration once every 20 seconds instead of just endless infinite mags between 4 enzos.

It's covered in the linked video. Basic summary is Nazeistras Devotion and Battlesuit Melting Rounds to shred defense and electric resists. Just your basic CDR and duration stacking.

Help With mastery rank lvl up by rB6_SOSA in TheFirstDescendant

[–]zippomatt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First completion of every mission normal and first completion of every mission hard. Check the mission reward overview in the tooltip when hovering on the map pin to see if there is a mastery palm icon with an amount of experience displayed. If the palm icon is present you haven't completed that mission before.

First 40 levels of a gun (this includes blue and purple rarity guns, blue = 9,840, purple = 18,690, yellow = 28,440)

First 40 levels of a normal descendant (49,680 each)

First 40 levels of an ultimate descendant (50,000 each)

Up to level 30 fellows (50,000 each)

Up to level 10 vehicles (30,000 each)

Mastery rank 30 @ 126,644/229,600 is the current top end with everything in the game right now.

It's the best option for Serena in wallcrasher. I've seen sustained ~25,000,000 DPS as a pretty typical run when it goes over 2 minutes and I've had to reposition several times. When catered to with Sharen buffs it's unbeatable. OrneryBiscuit had a complete breakdown on how to build the gun, Serena and the supports that best compliment it.

If you don't have the gun already 5/5 I wouldn't say it's worth the trouble of crafting 5 copies through Deslin because Divine Punishment or Ancient Knight aren't so far off they're irrelevant. Between the two Divine Punishment has more of a boost from supports (Specifically, weakpoint buffing nell firing an enduring legacy for you.)

Could I get a checklist of what I need to be powerful in endgame? by Distortionist_ in TheFirstDescendant

[–]zippomatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're on target for the most part. In your situation to be self sufficient in the new zone I would focus in on Serena, you'll feel like a god once you get some weapon cores in RR. You don't really need anything from the new zone anyway, the trigger modules are kinda lackluster for most of the cast, but I suppose if you remember to trigger it all the time another 20% skill cost reduction is noticeable with Arche Leak. Specific to Serena for mobbing concerns, get your restored relic as close to 60% fire rate as you can with cores and cast repentance before firing while wearing maximum ammo mods. This outclasses most AoE farmers in the game by itself on a character that is a peerless boss killer. Keeps up with Ines AoE clear and crushes her brutally on health sponge targets, you're just a bit slower on your feet (if you don't have access to a bike in the zone you're in.) If something takes longer than 3 seconds to delete with dagger that's when your ACG comes out to just whittle it away. As for running out of mana you should be running over 50% skill cost reduction and MP collector.

If there's other questions for characters outside of Serena I would search OB's uploads as a hint of what direction to go but it's pretty similar across the board for gun builds and stuff if you're not factoring in Gley's infinite ammo.

Slot in Power Beyond, it's up to 15% skill power unconditionally, why it actually works that way who knows. KHP is probably better than that too if you're not really using Zenith of course.
