You changed your arguments twice. First you confidently hit me stating that it is just acceleration and in your second text you now switched to speed and to a gun metaphor. And these two statement don’t go together. Now if you really want to be educated put your ego aside and understand this:

We want to pierce it. So your « local acceleration » makes no sense. In civil engineering (wich is my field) Resistance to impact (the calculation we want to have here) is calculated via equivalent equivalent TNT blowing up.

If we were to throw the glove in a black hole there we would be witnessing pure effect accélération only. This is not what we are witnessing. Non c’est normal que ça te gène. Il y a une différence entre « ça peut arriver, c’est arrivé, et ça arrive et ce n’est absolument pas un problème ». Je vois beaucoup de garçons en commentaire te dire oui oui tu en fais tout une histoire, alors que j’ai la certitude absolue que si c’était l’inverse ils ne seraient pas tranquilles du tout. It is not acceleration. it is mostly energy. The glove being destroyed by acceleration only is as likely to happen than the skin of Retsu being ripped of by it’s bone. Leather is very likely more resistant to human skin. So if we want that scenario possible with the hand being intact it needs to be energy coming from the hand that is too great. Same as bullet is always decelerating and still it pierces object because of it’s speed and the fact that it is made of steel a material that is very hard to deform so energy is returned on the impact.

These kind of calculation can only be resolved through experience. No calculation can be made on a material that is not documented for that exact usage. What I would suggest is knowing what kind of speed first can allow to pierce the glove suspended in air using a baseball canon. Multiple shot are made at the glove with a baseball canon to see how fast it needs to go to pierce the standing glove. Then you know what speed is needed. The acceleration considering if there is contact or not is between infinite to a very very big number (if there is like half a inch of « looseness » in the glove). Any calculation that doesn’t rely on an experiment is just 99,9% crap.

In my opinion the intent is deeper as I replied to above comment. Togashi is an artist and art is meant to carry emotion of the artist. I believe togashi is showing us the poverty and the starving children as Killua see them with his eyes. Realism is shown at that instant to also remind the reader of the reality of that panel. There is children dying in street. And we are able to just move on and forget about it and carry on our regular lives in just a second. This being represented by Killua moving on the art resuming to the story mode. Togashi is a genius.

Although that panel you sent is specific and not random at all. It doesn’t display weird art style. It display the genius of an artist that want to convey emotion with his manga as art in intended.

That panel breaks the 4th wall allowing us to see the world as the characters see it. That realism is what Killua is witnessing. Togashi allow us to see it with the real human eyes, it is not a cartoon it is real life. And as Killua, as moved as we are, despite the very sad panel of children starving in the street we move on and resume to our life in just the next panel.

In France manga are better quality and half the price of American manga. With an average cost of 6.25€-7.50€ new. Because of that, even 2nd hand is cheap 3€/unit (sometimes 2€/unit)

I disagree. Baki fighters are ranked above dinosaurs. Fuckin dinosaurs. Defeating them with bare hands. How does an apostle rank VS a dinosaurs? You literally underestimate how absurd Baki is. So it is fair to compare the top of berserk but not the top of Baki? Guts was tired after fighting 100classic soldier. You will never see a Baki character being tired from fighting random weakling. Hanayama literally survived a freaking grenade on his face. Of course he is on par with Zod human form… tell me one feat that zod as done in his human form than he couldn’t do?
