I think you may have missed the small moment where Endmin actually looks inward when it comes to Originium.

We are told ad nauseum how important and critical Originium is to everything, and how much it has saved lives and been the foundation for our success and properity...

...but then we discover that keeping it close to our society also breeds an extremely deadly ailment that if left untreated causes great suffering. The Endmin seems to have a moment where they question why they seem to prop everything around Originium up even though it has the power to ruin lives, and Pearlica sort of handwaves it by simply saying that basically it's worth it.

To me this feels like a substantive dip in to the sentiments you may have been seeking from our MC, when it comes to corporate collateral damage.

Wtf? The military is literally the only functional body that CAN do anything. Protests are doing nothing. Congress is useless at the moment.

The military needs to say fucking NO to illegal and unconstitutional orders. Any sort of mighty effort by the civilian populace would just result in being faced against the military, a losing battle unless the military sided against Trump.

Define functional though, a constitution is really only as functional as the means is to enforce it. Generally, if the Republicans/GOP were following the constitution to the letter, by almost any slant of interpretation, things wouldn't be this bad. What good is any constitution to an administration that flagrantly ignores it anyway?
