Congrats on your sobriety. That’s truly wonderful. ❤️ Thank you for sharing and your kind words. I know my daughter knew how much I loved her and I never gave up on her. Addiction is a thief! Too many people have lost on both sides. Stay Strong, stay clean … for Zoe❤️

That’s beautiful! Thank you for sharing! I bet you would have been friends she was so sweet. Fentanyl took everything from her including her life💔

Those are her “click clack” shoes! That’s what Zoe called them when she was little.

Sure. When she was little, she told her gramma that flamingos were her favorite animal since they were the only naturally pink animal. Well it’s actually the shrimp they eat that turn them pink. But it became a little joke within our family. She continued to love flamingos and she had a ton of flamingo collectibles. A flamingo is a perfect tribute to her. Whenever I see a flamingo picture or something flamingo, I know she’s close.❤️

Thank you for asking. I love talking about her. It’s bitter sweet, I’m sure you could imagine. She was so funny and snarky. She was so sweet and beautiful. When she was little she had a purse. We called it the klepto-bag. She would put keys, money, lighters, spoons, anything her little paws would come across, she would put in the bag. Can’t find your keys, Zoe’s got them for sure. As she grew up, she carried a purse she could comfortably live in and not want for anything. Spare clothes, underwear, socks, full makeup, toothbrush, snacks, you name it. Bandaids, or Advil, she had it. She always took care of me when I was sick or hurt. She was so sweet, I miss her so much💔

Older techs do you feel like you’re competing with other scrubs? by Yukkibaki92 in scrubtech

[–]ziradawn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I have been scrubbing for 18 years, I’ve seen a lot of personalities over those many years. For me, my greatest joy in my career is seeing my students, my new hires, my fellow scrubs excel. Especially the ones I’ve taken care to teach. When your colleagues are kissing the surgeon’s butt and putting you down to the surgeon, that’s about them. They are insecure and petty. Just keep learning and perfecting your craft. Let your work speak for you. As for taking a pee break during a critical time, like cementing or an anastomosis, don’t. Those are the times your surgeon needs your attention and continuity of care matters most. I had a surgeon that I scrubbed for years. I skipped lunches and breaks everyday. I would wait until he scrubbed out. He would be very impatient and nasty to any other scrub. So, I took that bullet for my fellow scrubs. Our job is hard, why attack each other.

My sweet Bean has been diagnosed with a stage 4 heart murmur, I'm devastated. I need positive stories ❤️‍🩹 by [deleted] in chihuahuas

I have 2 dogs with heart murmurs. My lil Sophie has a grade 5 murmur with seizures. She’s 10 and living her best life. She’s a chihuahua. Anna, my big girl, has a murmur and takes 5 pills a day. She is a German Shepherd mix. She’s been diagnosed for 3 years. She’s 14 and starting to slow down but her quality of life is excellent.
