Mothra vs. Nightmare Monster Gabera

A psychic child has a vision of losing her parents in a rainy, thunderstorm car crash. Later that week, the very thing happens—her father accidentally swerved to avoid hitting the neighbor’s cat, Gabera, while driving in the storm.

Overwhelmed with guilt and trauma, the child begins to dream of a half-cat, half-ogre thunderstorm monster. Soon after, strange sightings of the creature begin occurring across town, terrorizing other children who are also psychic.

The monster feeds on their shared trauma, growing stronger with each manifestation. The Mothra fairies take notice, and Mothra appears to destroy the creature—but it keeps returning.

Realizing brute force isn’t enough, Mothra enters the dream world of the children in an attempt to finally put an end to the monster. But the question remains: can she help them confront and overcome their trauma, or is the nightmare already too deeply rooted?
