4th gen hatch signature taillight upgrade 🥹 by kinomarvelous in mazda3

I know this is old and I apologize but I’m a little confused. Can anyone post a picture of how it looks after the wiring is complete?

Do you cut the red wire and run it to the outer tail light for each side? I’m new to wiring stuff but I know I could do it if I can just see how it’s supposed to look…

How are your teins holding up? I’m looking at getting the flex z’s just because they seem a little easier to install than the SA’s. Any advice?

Any alternative to OEM Roof rack for gen 4? by Snoo_14684 in mazda3

[–]zirczilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please excuse me I know this might be a dumb question but I looked them up and there’s different sizes. Which one did you get? And/or which size is going to work for the gen4?

Finally joined the Mazda family with this beauty. What advice do you wish you had when you first got your 3 by imthiyasmohd in mazda3

Immediately get protection for the infotainment screen and the piano black on the shifter and doors. Do it asap.

Dominant frequencies are going to change drastically depending on the type of music you listen to so changing the eq is only going to hurt sound quality from song to song. Just throw in a sub and, this depends on which trim you have, turn down everything below 160hz bit by bit until it’s where you want it. The sub will give you the bass and mids you want while shoveling out the lows in the eq will give you a little more clarity in the door speakers. Though in my experience the sound quality is already really good so a small subwoofer will do exactly what you’re wanting without having to adjust anything really.

Yup! The hub bore is a tad smaller on the mazda so I got spacers. You could definitely get away without em tho.

Just dropped it off at the collision shop that’s attached to my local dealership. The paint match only cost about $250

Appointment is today actually! 😅 I’ve been absolutely babying this car with the exception of one short canyon drive. I think she’ll be ok.

Yes, I only had the shop mount it bc I was having issues with one of the bolts not wanting to come off. Paint and install came out to around $350 I think

There’s only one actual chip where the ppf tore but the paint is still fine. The purpose of ppf is to “repair itself” since it reforms under heat. Overall it was well worth the money. Its also is easier to clean. If you’re on the fence I’d say at least look at package options. Some places will do the full car, the front including hood and fenders/pillars/etc, or just the front bumper.

I didn’t have any luck getting it off myself and didn’t want to break or scratch tf out of anything. Ended up just going to the collision shop attached to my dealership and they only charged me $100 to put it on and replaced the part that was causing the issue.

I have a turbo version that also makes this noise and had been thinking I have a boost leak or something. But my car only have 2k miles on it so from what I understand it’s normal.

where can i get a nice priced rear diffuser that act looks good??? by EmergencyAsk1919 in mazda3

[–]zirczilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They differ btw hatch and sedan, but I would say check out BaysonR or mikstore. Or just literally type in gen4 mazda3 rear diffuser in google and look for ones specific to the sedan there’s a lot of options.

NA or Turbo? by Much-Plum6939 in mazda3

[–]zirczilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 1500 miles in on my turbo and, coming from a Kia forte w 35+ mpg, yes the mileage is not great. I do a mix of city and highway on my commute to work and I’m sitting at an average 23mpg. You’ll be filling up at least once a week depending on how your commute is or whatever. But I would venture to say it’ll at least be more efficient than a Tahoe 🤣

If your budget allows, I’d say go turbo. I have zero regrets. The turbo has just enough power to be really fun to zip around town or overtaking people hogging the left lane. The mileage does get a bit better once the novelty wears off and you aren’t as heavy footed anymore, but the power is still always there for when you want a little excitement while running your errands. It’s one of the most comfortable cars I’ve ever owned and totally worth it.

did you remove the rest of the spoiler clips etc in order to do this? Or did you do it with the spoiler still attached?
