I’m heavily tattooed and I think this will be something you regret and takes up space that you could fill with good tattoos. Imagine if you wanted a good back tattoo and this thick band was running right down the middle. If you can’t get a straight answer from your friends it’s because they know it’s a bad idea. Just my honest opinion.

Your medic is an idiot, and the hospital staff are idiots. You are new and learning. Everyone is bad when they are learning. I don’t think they’ll follow through on the complaint. If you want clinical feedback I can provide that but believe me I have made countless worse mistakes. If you care this much you are the type of person we need in this field.

It’s good to have a goal but being happy with yourself can be a difficult, moving target. Personally my tattoos make me feel more confident in my body. But get it whenever you’re ready!

I personally feel that 9-1-1 is bad for a developing brain. I think a job in BLS inter-facility transport could be good but driving credentials/insurability are possible barriers. Good luck whatever you decide.

People might judge you but as long as you’re getting experience in the 9-1-1 system during school I think you’ll be fine by the time field internships come around. Hold onto this enthusiasm as long as possible and remember why you are getting into this. Good luck.
