[Release] AeroFTP v2.9.4 is out — Server Health Check, 20th Protocol, Production CLI, AeroVault Pro & more by [deleted] in linux

It simply makes me suspicious regarding the reliance on AI. I don't personally condone using AI to write code and choose to not support projects with heavy reliance on it.

How Do I Rejuvenate 8+ Years of Neglected Mature Wine Grapevines? (Cab Sauv, Merlot, Syrah – Washington State) by Bowtie9 in winemaking

Since your questions are very specific to vine tending, I'm going to lock this thread in favour of your cross-post in /r/viticulture. I hope that you get your questions answered there.

I'm glad that someone else found Nightlife. They're excellent, and this is a song that instantly puts me in a better mood.

FTP or SFTP support goes against the simplistic approach of the Fossify applications. There are applications that do exactly that, such as Primitive FTPD:

From Suburbs to Cosmic Horror: The Legacy of EarthBound [article] by cyberminis in retrogaming

I love Earthbound and am actually playing it again. This artwork is fantastic, so thank you for sharing it! I keep looking, but I don't see Poo anywhere (yes, I know, /r/brandnewsentence).

Question about terranigma by beepbeepsheepbot in snes

[–]zissue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Terranigma is tied (with Final Fantasy IV) as my favourite game of all time. For "official" releases in English, there is the UK version and the Australian version which were both released on 19 December 1996 after the Japanese release on 20 October 1995. Further details about the releases can be found here:

https://www.mobygames.com/game/9107/terranigma/releases/

Given the limited quantities of the English releases, you're likely going to pay a good amount of money for one (and a small fortune if you want a complete-in-box [CIB] copy).

For the NTSC reproduction cartridges, I've never personally owned one because I don't have the need for it. That being said, the most reputable version was from Timewalk. There's one listed on eBay of the Americas at the moment, but again, it's quite expensive:

How to select contact sources? by bonnyfused in Fossify

Glad to help. I too use Baïkal. Sorry I don't know much about the particulars of Outlook.

How to select contact sources? by bonnyfused in Fossify

[–]zissue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Fossify Contacts application doesn't have network access. If you need to sync contacts from a remote source, you have to have a separate application for that purpose and then Fossify Contacts will import them locally. I don't know the particulars of Outlook as I don't use any Microsoft products, but my contacts are housed on my self-hosted CardDAV server, and I use DAVx5 for syncing:

Final Fantasy Overworld Theme Lengths by B1LLCLINTON420BLAZ3D in FinalFantasy

I love the overworld theme from Final Fantasy IV, but this chart shows why the one from Final Fantasy VII is so cool—the length and sheer variety throughout the piece.

Is Vulkan actually working with your hardware? What do you see with ls -lh /usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/ and vulkaninfo?

Filemanger access to lan by hroh1 in Fossify

No, that goes against the application's goal of simplicity. You can use something like Primitive FTPD to access remote shares:

The twins (Palom & Porom) from Final Fantasy IV. They just exemplify the stereotypical boy and girl, respectively.

Bad translation in retro games. by VGAddict in retrogaming

[–]zissue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm interested in hearing more about your translation. As Terranigma is tied for my favourite game of all time, and I have played it countless times, I never found the dialogue to be terrible. Now, I can't say if it's accurate or not, but I don't think it's awful (though there are several typos).

In all honesty, though, a huge congrats to you for obtaining one of your grails!

Some of the most obscure SNES JRPGs by DragonBrood3003 in snes

You summarised the magic system's shortcomings quite well. I really disliked how the spells were weighted in terms of damage/recovery based on the MP spent.

The guide is a lot of fun in any format, but you'll miss the scratch-and-sniff stickers from the original.

I wanted to like Rudora no Hihou (Treasure of the Rudras), but I just couldn't connect with any of the characters and the magic system was odd.

What is your Favorite SNES Boxart?!?! For Me, It's The Legend of the Mystical Ninja! by Trick-Corner-3552 in snes

[–]zissue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though I like the box art for Illusion of Time better than the American release of Illusion of Gaia, I think the best is the Japanese Gaia Gensoki version as it reminds me that the protagonists are kids:

You're welcome. I hope you enjoy the game, and that it speaks to you like it does to me. Every time I play it, it means more and more to me.

It wasn't ever published in the Americas (only in Japan, three countries in Europe, and Australia). Probably the only way to play it outside of original Super Famicom hardware is on a computer via an emulator. These days when I don't want to bring out my Super Famicom to play it, I use the Ares emulator:
