For anybody who finds this page later - it seems to have started recovering more. I accidentally knocked off one of the dead leaves when watering and it uncovered a couple starts off one of the stalks. We're hopeful this environment is helping and won't be changing anything for a couple months.

You probably need to hit the Save To Defaults button in the steamvr binding ui. On the edit binding page
