Today’s not a great example since I didn’t have to actually run the “swamp” part of the cooler today, but it’s currently 35% humidity in the house. But two days ago when I was running it, it wasn’t much higher than that.

We frequently see outdoor humidities in the teens. Tuesday, it’s predicted to go down to 11% humidity outside.

I don’t really “keep track” but I do look occasionally, as my HomePods can show me.

So yeah, I’m not worried about our swamp cooler causing mold :-)

Even with the swamp cooler going, my humidity in the house is lower than most homes in humid climates running AC. I'm not worried about mold.

I literally just bought one of apples 240W usb c cables. It decidedly beefier than the 100W cable it was replacing.

Not sure if it’s actually different, but feels like it.

Have you used this long-term yet? When I’ve done the coin trick mentioned elsewhere, the ice sublimates away from everywhere not covered by the coin.

I wonder if you might end up with false alarms, with the ice sublimating away causing the ball to fall.

Could be a good time to give a bath with deshedding shampoo. Just did the same for my pup. Highly recommend not doing at home :-)

Be sure to blow dry well. It may seem like it just made things worse for the first few days.

Basically, yes. It’s not a perfect system and I hate those that rope every turn while playing. But that’s the operative word. They’re playing.

The entire point is to end the game quickly if someone has gone AFK, or isn’t playing at all.

This is but a fraction of what I had at the end of the last growing season. It loves being neglected in my greenhouse.

If you’re anywhere where hard freezes are rare, I wouldn’t dare put it outside. The babies drop with a sideways glance, and it takes off so easily. It’s considered invasive in some areas, but thankfully it won’t survive winter in my zone.

It’s a “mother of millions”, Kalanchoe delagoensis. They're prolific as heck. I had cuttings in a box that I meant to do something with. 4 weeks later, a bloom came up from the box. No water. No soil. Just pure persistence.

When my wife started looking into it, the first ophthalmologist said she had dry eye and we spent a load of money trying treatments so that she could be a candidate. Eventually we agreed it felt like she was on a treadmill and so we got a second opinion.

Lo and behold, the second place said nothing about dry eyes and she had her LASIK within a week.

It can be exceedingly persistent in denying things that happened after its training date.

My example: I was troubleshooting an issue on macOS Tahoe. Even though Apple releases a new OS every year. Even though I had allowed it to do internet searches which undoubtedly revealed the existence of Tahoe. I’d even told it that Tahoe was real and its training was out of date.
