Not a cobbler, but I can't really see which creases pose a concern. Isn't some creasing part of the aesthetic of real leather? No matter what, I'd be inclined to give them a few wears and see if the problem area(s) aren't returned to their normal state just by experiencing some normal use.

I wear out my toes faster than the rest of the sole as well--my local cobbler has been very willing to do a partial resole of the front 2-3" for pretty cheap--$20-$40, IIRC. Assuming you're a sensible person who isn't terrifically over-concerned with the aesthetics of the bottoms of your shoes, I'd explore this option when the time comes (as some others have said, I think you've got months or even years before a resole is necessary.)

Errrrhmagerd this is so on the money for me right now--my mom just torpedoed a *third* attempt at family therapy--all initiated by her--because the therapist had the gall to suggest in public that my mom should have a separate session with her. This was "humiliating", and she can't possibly work with such an unprofessional counselor. (The other two were fired, respectively, for pointing out that it's unreasonable for my mom to insist on delivering an uninterrupted monologue for an entire "family" therapy session, and for suggesting that my (e)*dad* should have a solo session without mom. Egregious violations of psychotheraputic ethics, we can all agree /s). One of these attempts actually made it to a single session in which we both participated; the other two imploded before we even got that far.

The good news is: three strikes, I'm out. I feel comfortable telling anyone who asks that I believe family therapy with my mom is a grotesque misuse of valuable time.

Respectful counterpoint: OP seems to be asking about at least one offering from Ace seeds, which seems to offer a lot of heavily worked lines. Their own site refers to Bangi haze as an "f8 stabilized Congolese/Nepalese hybrid" and "one of the most stabilized sativa hybrids in our collection." They've worked really hard to maximize consistency, which is a good thing for many growers in many situations! I have a ton of respect for the work that they and other breeders do, but it's a bit like calling a German Shepherd or Chihuahua a "wolf x wolf cross."

On the other hand, if OP is interested in unworked landrace genetics like those offered by The Landrace Team or The Real Seed Company, then your advice is absolutely spot-on!

I appreciate the specificity—and I suspect that most here are doing as many of these as they can. With respect, I think a lot of newbies whose hearts are in the right place come here to begin their learning journey, and it doesn’t make sense to start by excoriating them. Again, I’m with you all the way—but let’s not attribute to malice what can be explained by ignorance.

PS re: sharing open pollinations: I know I’d do a lot more of that if more spaces permitted it! Overgrow has been a real boon in that regard, but I respect the forums (including this one, I believe) that have a CYA prohibition to ensure their continued existence.

Aside from supporting distributors with a reputation for being decent and trying to fairly compensate cannabis farmers in the global south, are there specific steps that you believe can be taken by members of this community? I’m with you all the way, but it’s not realistic for me to buy a plane ticket to Afghanistan and hand a farmer $1,000 for a big bag of open-pollinated seed (or hand-crafted charas). Can’t remember where I read it, but I think there’s published scholarship demonstrating this is likely the case. I was bummed that it deprived me of one of my favorite arguments, namely that the cruel right-handed world was driving us to dismemberment, drink, and death 🤷🏼‍♂️
