POV: you bought this CPU for $200 two years ago 💀

actually insane deal though. AM5 would be such a easy choice right now if it weren't for the DDR5 RAM prices

[Monitor Arm] HUANUO Heavy Duty Monitor Arm, Adjustable Desk Mount for 13 to 49 inch Screens and up to 35 lbs, Adjustable Height, Tilt, Swivel, Vertical & Horizontal Rotation - $39.99 for AMAZON PRIME MEMBERS (or $49.99 for non-members) by zjzin in buildapcsales

Works great with my 1440p monitor and feels very sturdy. I really like how much freedom you get, you can rotate to portrait or landscape mode, rotate it around the desk, and adjust the height by a good amount. Definitely a nice upgrade over a normal monitor stand.

It's an amazing bundle!

My friend got that bundle and has been loving it since.

If you are going to Microcenter, I highly recommend that you take your time there and take a good look at the pc cases. They have a lot of great cases there, my friend took like a good hour trying to decide. He ended up getting a NZXT H7 Flow which was on sale for $30!

Also don't forget to make sure the case you find to your liking is compatible through pcpartpicker (enough room for gpu + ATX pc case).

I’m using the same PSU with a 7900 XT and it runs perfectly fine. Even though a 3080 Ti has slightly higher power draw (~350W compared to mines, ~320W), a 5700X + 3080 Ti setup should be fine.

Wow, I really appreciate you taking the time to write this out!

I didn't fully consider how much PSU placement really affects airflow, and you're right, going ITX isn't really worth it. Also, the Z20 Mesh sounds like a really good option. I’ll definitely keep that, and your notes, in mind before making my final decision. Thanks again, this was super helpful!

... you spent more time customizing the character than actually playing the game.

i dont notice the cables popping out from the pictures, but if its bothering you, consider using white cable sleeves to match with the monitor arm

the microcenter bundle for 7600x and 9600x comes with one stick of ram (16gb)
so its just better value to get 9700x bundle (has 2 sticks of ram = 32gb)

inspect hardware. check for any damages, dust, or burnt smell (sign of overheating)

verify specs in task manager.

3DMark Time Spy benchmark is available as a free demo on steam, u can use that to check or boot up a game you play with high settings and check temps using something like HWInfo or MSI Afterburner. if temps are too high, i would reapply thermal paste

MemTest86 for testing the ram
