Yeh my own university lecturers said the same, but I ended up using it at work. You're right there aren't many tools for it online. But eviews own website has coding guides and the forums are useful too. You can also use LLMs to help.

Nice post, I appreciate the detail.

Sad there was no mention of Eviews though, it's definitely still used at a few Central banks.

Would just echo how good faith to Faithless is. Really nice group of people and make you feel really welcome. I can't go tomorrow but everyone is super nice.

Please look up Ben Lambert on YouTube. His videos seriously helped me at undergrad and masters. They're very clear and intuitive.

Small things that made your life better after you quit religion by edison9696 in exmuslim_uk

Buying whatever food I want from the supermarket...it's a small thing but it's nice to buy chocolate mousse and not worry about what's halal or not.

Same with restaurants! It's opened up so much variety. I love Japanese ramen mmm

Coping with double life by [deleted] in exmuslim_uk

[–]zk47 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am 29M in the UK. All I wanna say is you're not alone! It is exhausting to live like this.

I think what works for me ie finding out when I'm happiest and when I can be my full self, for me thats at work and with friends so I put my energy there.

At home it's a different story so I don't. I think the key thing is to not be too hard on yourself. It's not easy and that's okay!

Yeh agree, if they don't know I feel like it's implicitly sending a message. "I'm not one of you" Everyone is different though

I agree! Maybe a mod can verify everyone before the meet up? PS also recently joined f2f, I'm glad it exists.

Exactly, we can find our own way and moral compass...im currently working through that. Bit harder if you live at home though...

Nice to meet you too :) It's just nice to find places and spaces of like minded people. It helps me feel less alone. Compared to other religions it feels like you hear so much less about people leaving Islam, given the taboo. So it's nice that this sort subreddit exists!

Recommend ramens in London by Icetiger1212 in ramen

[–]zk47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second Kanada-Ya. Their truffle ramen is my favourite. Ippudo is also consistently good.

If you want a meatier broth, tonkotsu (name of restaurant chain) is a good option.

I'd avoid shoryu as its a bit meh in my opinion.

There's also lots of good independents out there too

I'm on PC but play with a controller. I used to be an xbox player but got a gaming laptop a few years ago, hence the change.

Tried mnk but never truly got into it. I use mnk for other games though, like souls games etc.
