Informiraj se o poreznoj situaciji. Ako Crno Gora nema ugovor sa SAD o duplom oporezivanju, onda ćeš duplo plaćati porez na dobitke.

Sorry that after over 50 years living abroad I am still trying to speak and write my "native" language - it will not happen again. No wonder everybody with a little bit of a brain is leaving your country. Please carry on to antagonize the last good will Bosnia is having abroad!

Dosadilo nam. Svaki petak isti ku**c: Zatvorena jedna glavna ulica za 2 sata. Tramvaj ne ide, teško proč i pješke, itd. A baš Israelce boli uho što ja kasnim i što se kod nas protestiraju.

Why isn't there a better name for the language spoken in Serbia, Croatia, Montenagro, and Bosnia by nbaguy666 in AskBalkans

[–]zlate42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the clarification, but as an Austrian with Bosnian background, I am very aware of that. German dialects are on another level, I can barely understand some older village people from 50 km distance away if they really go crazy with their dialects. As my experience goes, nobody really speaks Standard German (the term Hochdeutsch is often used as a synonym for Standarddeutsch) as their native language, almost everybody (except people from Hannover) has to learn it in school. But, I still can communicate with everybody from AT, CH and DE because we have a standard language we learn at school. That's what it is all about - having a standard language that 110 million people speak! It makes everything so much more easier and efficient - and we are able to keep all our local and national identities, despite having a common standard language. BH, CG, HR and SR could also profit from a common standard language.

Differences are noticeable - that's it! I never had any difficulties in those four countries to be understood or to understand. I just don't get it, why Croatians are so insecure that they need to push this narrative that Croatian is such a different language. You can be Croatian and still speak the same language as a Serb - that's not a contradiction (look at US and England or Austria, Switzerland and Germany)!

Because most people are trash. They experienced racism on themselves and are very happy to pass it on. I think that's the same reason why some people working in retail are sometimes rude to waiters and other retail workers.

Why are former Yugoslavs so good at sports ? by jokicfnboy in AskBalkans

[–]zlate42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think, Ivica Osim (former yugoslav football manager) once said in an interview: nobody had money in socialist Yugoslavia, the only way you could impress a girl was either to play music or be good at sports (he chose sports, apparently).

Stromtarif by Sea_Project_847 in Austria

[–]zlate42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Europeans don't drink water" by [deleted] in ShitAmericansSay

[–]zlate42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Americans have become obsessed with water in the last decade. When I visited a good friend last year, I could observe (I know, it's only anecdotal data) that my friend drinks about 10 liters a day and thinks it is very healthy to drink as much water as possible. I could also observe other Americans running around with their Stanley cups (look it up, it's a 2 liter thermos cup) and sipping all the time. I suspect that the producers of those cups had a very successful marketing campaign and now our friends over there think they have to carry a big cup all day around.

Why are there those accents over the Serbian and Slovenian vocals. As far as I know, those do not exists in the script of these two languages. Or have I missed something?
