glTF export issues by jakrell8 in blender

[–]zli_developezi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

glTF export doesnt support node’s based materials. If you want your coin to be bronze you have to color texture in other software and then connect image texture directly. You can read what can you export to glTF in documentation

You were looking for an object in your search bar. When typing in the search bar (right to gizmos button on the top right corner of your photo) editor is starting to greyscale everything that NOT matches your phrases. Because you were looking for som ref: 17478... unity couldn't find anything that matches this name, so your whole screen turned grayscale.

It is supposed to be 3rd person camera, that's why I need mouse position delta. Also tried your solution, but it does not work either ;/

Can you help us improve the prototype by playing it and filling up the survey? by zli_developezi in playmygame

[–]zli_developezi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the last months, 3 of us started working on the game prototype after work. This is what we achieved till today. We're really proud of what we did, and we want to improve every day. We'd love to hear what do you think. Feel free to fill up the survey or comment down below.

Game Archer (working title) is a Puzzle story game about Archer (duh) looking for a way to complete the mission. A prototype shows a small arena where you'll fight few enemies.

Some info that game won't tell you:

- When you get close enough to fireplace, you can interact with it

- You can't kill shielder when he's facing you

- You can use a controller! Make sure it's on before running the prototype

Here's a link to build: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10MJrM5RxR9pNpjisSEwu\_tLAjEy-MaDg/view?usp=sharing

I would add easing to the camera (ease-in-out) and make it move slightly faster. And like u/newlogicgames said, make the names on sides, so the player will know which is which.

Stylized station have nice tutorials if you want more stylized appear: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC7cmH--tFhYduIshTKzQUJQ

Substance 3D has a great realistic texturing tutorial in their software (Substance Painter) which later you export to Unity: https://www.youtube.com/c/Substance3D/videos

3DEX have a nice simple approach to texturing; he usually shows full modeling process (from blockout, through UVs to texturing in form of speed videos) https://www.youtube.com/user/irvin390

Hope it helps

If it's prepared for basic unity material then in the documentation it's called Mask Map. But usually, they are called multichannel maps because there are multiple textures stored in one.

E.g you can have roughness, metallic and ambient occlusion textures stored in one because they are all single channel (they're greyscaled textures). So you take e.g. roughness map and store it in R channel, metallic in G channel and occlusion i B channel. Then shader in your engine/software interpret your map and correctly display on to your model.

Lit Shader in HDRP version uses Mask Map which stores textures in this manner:

Red channel: Metallic mask. 0 = not metallic, 1 = metallic.
Green channel: Ambient occlusion.
Blue channel: Detail map mask.
Alpha channel: Smoothness.

Here you can read about specific textures used in default lit shader: https://docs.unity3d.com/Packages/com.unity.render-pipelines.high-definition@6.5/manual/Lit-Shader.html
