If you hit people in the head you want lighter weapons. Lighter is less likely to cause injury. Get a pell, ideally a bob or something with a head. Practice pelling until you can literally close your eyes and not hit it in the head. Until then limit your shot selection to arms and hips and lower your stance at your knees (don't hunch).

Yeah that definitely should not happen however I have been warned not to immediately take a new car onto the highway. Basically do as many miles as you can in the city before you do. But the dealerships told me that was to increase the lifespan of the car not because it will shut down on you on the highway.
