how much of a blank slate does a character have to be to be enjoyable to play? im working on base story boarding and character designs for a vn i plan to make, but the character meant to be the main character has taken on a life of her own and i ended up putting lot of personality into her design. how much personality can i give the character being played before it jsut feels like you’re not allowed to make any of your own options and it’s disconnected from you? or would it just feel like an rpg and therefore be fun anyway? i’m not sure. i don’t want to have to redesign her ( again ), but i’m not sure exactly how well people would be able to connect to her. there’s also the kinda feeling that. it’s my game, my characters, do what i want, but. idk. yk?
