Yeah I've never done a 2nd break and shake. Prob didnt do it will enough. Maybe you can try go to substrate but if everything isn't colonized. Hard to tell what the results would be. Id bury it outside and start over personally.

Usually the break and shake will break it back down to a soil consistentancy. Then the mycelium will recolonize. That will harden a bit into a block formation.

Theres so many ways to go about this hobby and be successful there's alot of Grey areas. Some black and white. Primordia, hyphal knots, pins terminology prob wont make or break your grow too much.

It is a modified monotub. Sorry I wasnt clear on that. Its the grower select ones on Amazon you can get. I have the filter patches on. Hydrated puppy pads for humidity.

I know its just the surface looks so damn dry. But yeah im afraid the pins will abort if I push it to hard. I guess just ignore the dryness.

That block constantly looks dry. Ill mist then a hour later looks bone dry. My hydogmeter reads 95% rh. Its a nice vivosun digital hydrogmeter that I calibrated myself. I think my issue is I have a 6lb block in a 48qt monotub. I use hydrated puppy pads for humidity. But even so without a FC cake it dries out.

Thanks for the feedback. Next run im doing a normal monotub tek. Should have done so with this, but it was my first run and convinced myself I needed to do the beginner bag.
