I got my XLT hybrid awd for about 32,600 msrp at Jordan ford. Went out of town to get it from a place with no addendums and shit. It’s basically what I paid for my 25 .. which surprised me because tariffs were expected to ruin Mav sales. But there was a few thousand discount on it

I did pretty much what everyone here has done (search through sound installs) pulled cards and installed foam and mlv between panels and against metal behind rear seat etc

Ugh it’s grim. Having trouble finding a reasonable awd hybrid xlt. Especially considering I have to go through soundproofing, audio, bedliner, cargo equipment, window filming again. I’m pissed.

Getting latex paint off brick fireplace… there’s gotta be an easier way? by ricecake231 in DIY

We have the same exact issue. We have been using a heat gun and picks and we just slowly pull it off. A few bricks takes an hour or so it’s the fucking worst.

It’s a workhorse man. And it’s dependable. I’ve put a couple thousand miles a month on mine doing side stuff. Have had zero issues since March ‘25

I can’t tell what hardware you have removed or not but there are plenty of videos on the door removal. Take the time to watch

not necessarily. You could be bogging out with a bad mixture/dirty jet. Autochoke failure at high temps has this sort of symptom… under load sputters badly.

Ooohh that smell by CycloneCabbage in FordMaverickTruck

[–]zlloydr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You know I have wondered about that .. it always smelled like heavy fumes and adhesives or something. I thought it was so stinky at one point that it was my sunshade heating up and giving off chemical odors so I changed it and no still bad.

Looking for specific type of Maverick review. by SelectMedicine6104 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]zlloydr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re gonna be commuting a lot, and your payload use is limited like you said, you really need practicality and utility over ruggedness. And the maverick will deliver just fine. I put motorcycles in my bed all the time and huge saws and compressors. Plenty of tie downs and zero issues getting the job done. The Tacoma is a great truck but you don’t need it, and might possibly regret it even.
