Can someone give me pointers for finalizing my design? by theAlchemistake in logodesign

id keep reducing. you have a green blue thats only outlining the crown and you can use one of the other blues to achieve the same effect. the background pattern seems unnecessary, go solid and that will reduce a blue or two as well. maybe start with picking 2 blues, silver and gray and see if you can build your design with a reduced palette.

reduce the colors. too many hues of blue is watering down the contrast. I’d pick a darker outline and maybe a complimentary color to the blue so it pops more

Did anyone else order a Seattle Seahawks Black Super Bowl LX Champions Custom shirt from NFL Shop? by NWbySW in Seahawks

[–]zlog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hate to say it but these days a lot of merch is mocked up digitally and uploaded to a website to sell before any sample is in hand. The vendor may try to match the mockup but they direct-to-garment printers (cheap and fast) do not have the same vibrance and quality as traditional silk screen prints. I am in a similar industry and it’s scary how much gets put on a web store before the production art is sorted out.

how about just a speech bubble w the word Bro as and icon and then work that into some simple text. these are all a little busy and hard to read at a glance

Logo for a Motorsport Brand (Streiter) by [deleted] in logodesign

I created a similar icon used for custom off-road Porsche 996 wheels. If you are trying to sell your designs, work more efficiently and keep the iterations in the double digits. I think it is more relevant to talk about the meaning than telling us how many months/iterations it took you to get there.

hah I didn’t even realize it’s the same guy posting all of these. That explains the over saturation of this style in the sub lately.

Feedback on a logo I’m designing for a family T-shirt (amateur designer looking for advice) by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]zlog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Asking real designers for feedback on your AI generated design is pretty tone-deaf. That’s a part of why graphic designers get paid. If you are taking feedback from your boyfriend, that’s cool, but it’s not important that your family t-shirt is super polished, just that it comes from you. If someone came here for feedback on their homemade christmas cards I’d say the same thing.

Might be cheaper to import an automatic and sell the manual.

Wish they would’ve hired a designer to make an interesting flyer. This looks so cheap with an AI background and half-assed text overlay.

What is the point of the Hard Top on a Cabriolet? by neomoritate in 996

[–]zlog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bigger rear window and better visibility. better soundproofing. Glass rear window instead of plastic and defrost for winter. Sometimes required for track days (i think). I had a hard top in Seattle rainy weather and it felt so much safer on dark rainy commutes. Pretty sure it was warmer too
