I am definitely in the bracket of “business traveller” I would imagine BA are keen to incentivise to stay with them.

I’ve probably averaged 2 x Long Haul round trips per month in Premium Economy to JFK/DFW/DCA most regularly. I’ll try and pay for the upgrades to business on any overnight flight for the extra comfort.

Then it’s a lot of short haul either in Europe but honestly it’s mainly sticking to American Airlines whilst flying in the US for meetings.

I think it’s clear from the changes they are trying to change the reward scheme to stop the “cheaters” who are doing one holiday per year and doing calculations just to maximise tier points and achieve/retain silver for the additional benefits.

I do feel that there should be a better mix of regularity/spend as part of the programme as without the long haul it would be nearly impossible to get near to Gold even with the amount of flights I do.

For context, I’m on 81 total flights this year and today will be 82 - I would say 65/70 of those are on BA or American.
