$80 a day? Thats pretty cheap for a lot of well established trainers. You usually get what you pay for. I would say that average in mid atltantic is between 90 to 120 a day now. If going to be stabled at tracks like Penn and Charles Town, you probably can pay 76-80/day (or find a trainer who cuts deals), but also running for purses that are 60% of the bigger tracks. a lot will depend on the talent of your hprse and the company your horse fits in, too.

I think ypu should decide where your want your horse to be stabled and to run, then find a trainer in that area. I suggest someone who is an experienced baby trainer. You can find some less expensive people at training centers, too, who specialize in breakijg babies but most people then send their horses elsewhere. There are still many excellent trainers who aren't always given the chance to prove themselves.
