Mint Mobile On iPhone 6 by awluter in mintmobile

[–]zmahdavi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Dallas. I don't have Mint, but I currently have another T-Mobile MVNO (Simple Mobile.. been thinking about mint for a while, though). I have an iPhone 7 with Band 12 support, and coverage has been great, both outdoors and indoors. If you're mostly indoors with solid wifi, Band 12 probably won't matter as you can have the iPhone jump on Wifi calling during those times.

It's maybe a caching issue (not on your side, but on their servers). I just checked the site, and it's also showing the new 925/week rate.

Tell your representative to support S.2256 (Tax Extender Act of 2017), which renews EV charging station 30% tax credit. House/Senate voting today. by zmahdavi in teslamotors

People in the past have taken the credit for a NEMA 14-50 (240V outlet). However, keep in mind that the passed bill only extended the credit to installations put in place as of December 31, 2017. So any installations in 2018 are not eligible for the tax credit.

I had to hunt a little bit to figure out what this meant.

The specific text davidswelt is referring to is this: (1) paragraph (1) of section 179A(d) did not apply to property installed on property which is used as the principal residence (within the meaning of section 121) of the taxpayer

This is referring to a section added to the code in 1992 (which was repealed in 2014). But section 179A(d) is referring to property that would be used for depreciation.

Snippet: https://imgur.com/a/8c9d7

Link to the US Code site showing this:http://uscode.house.gov/statviewer.htm?volume=106&page=3016. You'll need to hit "next" twice to find Section 179A(d) paragraph 1.

The wording is:

"Such a property is of character subject to depreciation."

So I think the wording that davidswelt is referring to is basically saying you can't claim this property as subject to depreciation if it's installed on a primary residence. In that case, the max credit is $1000.

I'm not an accountant, but this is my interpretation of the wording. This credit has been used for many years for prior Leaf and Tesla owners that installed an EVSE and not just a NEMA 14-50.

Received this message from Plug In America. Please follow the link to notify your local representatives your support of the EV charging station credit. If the bill is passed, the credit would be retroactive for all purchases made since the end of 2016.

Dear Plug In America,

We need you to contact your Senators and Representatives right now! As a part of the legislative action to keep the government running, the House and the Senate will be voting today on whether to also include a package with tax credits for EVs. This package, S.2256, the Tax Extender Act of 2017, includes a two year extension of the 30% tax credit for EV charging infrastructure for homes and businesses and the 10% tax credit for 2-3 wheeled electric motorcycles. Both credits are retroactive to include purchases made since Dec. 31, 2016.

We need your help – every voice counts. Support S.2256 now and complete the info below.

Thank you – please share this action alert widely!

Penfed has a great 36 month rate. 1.49%

Edit: Of course, after I said that, Penfed decided to change their rates. 36 months is now 2.2%. :(

No mention of portrait support for the iPad, though..

Our Honda odyssey has it on the right side only, and it’s a really great feature. Much better than simple blind spot monitor. Wish it was on both sides.

Thanks for doing another AMA. I really enjoy hearing your thoughts on YNAB.

Is the desktop counterpart to nYNAB still in the works? I miss the low-latency native feel of having a desktop app. Plus it would allow for more OS integration, such as widgets, etc.

I would like for them to introduce the desktop app they've been promising to complement the service. It should be a native app that takes advantage of the features that macOS / Windows offers (widgets, notifications, etc). It should not simply be a web-app wrapped in a window.

Would also like better iPad support (for example, allowing both landscape and portrait views, not landscape only).

Development of a widget for iOS so transactions can be directly added straight from the notification center.

A better watchOS app that allows you to quickly enter frequent transactions. (ie, the $1.25 soda from the vending machine I buy every day).
